Having just started watching this series, and am familiar with the movie and Kingdom Hearts 3, why does Honey Lemon pronounce Hiro's name differently than everyone else?
It feels like Spanish is her first language and she has trouble going past the similarities to "hijo".
The actress does it on purpose so as to remind viewers that Honey Lemon is Hispanic.
I do wonder if the graphic novel/manga/whatever they want to call it is going to pick up after Season 3 or if it's just going to sprinkle in unrelated stories like the IDW comic did.
It would certainly give them the opportunity to clean up some plot points that never got resolved in the show.
My money's on "starts immediately after the film and ignores the tv show entirely."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.......Wait, that 10 episode season is the final one and is more comedic? The hell Disney?
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.According to Bob Schooley, the network wanted season 3 to focus more on comedy. It's definitely executive meddling.

Does the public now know the heroes' secret identities? I remember Mr. Sparkles saying hello to Honey Lemon outside her costume yet knowing she was a BH 6 member.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Seems odd that they would specifically mention being based off of the series for them to just ignore it completely.
The public does not, but most of the villains do, weirdly enough. The only prominent ones at this point who don't know are Steamer, High Voltage, and El Fuego.
Which comic do you mean? The only one I know based specifically on the series coming out this year is this, which is a compilation of the comic from two years ago.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'm talking about the upcoming one. The interview with the publisher said that it's based off of the show.
My question was just theorizing if it's going to be like the IDW one where it didn't reference anything in the show or if it will play off of it directly.
Yeah, which one is that? I tried looking it up and couldn't find anything about it.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. We're talking about this graphic novel. It was just off from the last page. It's not related to the IDW one, but still meant to tie-in to the series specifically.
Again, I think it'll probably just be a one-off story set in the show's world like the IDW comic was. Maybe use the show's characters, but it won't be a comic sequel like The Legend of Korra, The Dragon Prince, or even Mega Man: Fully Charged had.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I legit wonder why networks bother meddling with their products, it damn near NEVER works out for anyone involved, there's maybe 1 or 2 works out of hundreds that have, and I can't even remember what the hell those examples were off the top of my head.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I guess in this show's case, a misguided attempt to appeal to the main demographic? Hence the lesser focus on action, drama, and longer story arcs, and more emphasis on humor, mascot characters, chibis, etc.
Which is all baffling since the show ended up going to Disney XD anyways, where it got less viewership.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Even if it stayed on Disney Channel, they probably would have only aired new episodes with maybe a weekend encore, and then let Disney XD take care of the rest.
Disney XD "needed" (quotes intentional) exclusives, so Ducktales and BH 6 got put over there. A lot of good that did, since they were going to end after their third seasons anyway (Duck Tales intentionally, BH 6 not so much).
Now they have the exact same problem but with no original programming in the works at all and only Marvel's Spider-Man still left (not technically announced as cancelled but is pretty much done at this point).
Disney XD is such a redundant channel at this point. I actually hear that it's already been pulled in some countries due to low ratings. If it were me, I would use XD to air old programs from the 2000s, early 2010s, and late 90s. Sort of like how Teen Nick does for Nickelodeon.
Disney ain't run by competent people these days.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.I'm not sure it ever was, since the days of Walt. But then, I can't say any other studio is either.
SoundCloudI mean moreso now.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness. It's significantly better than the later Eisner days, at any rate.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.About Disney XD: Not just some countries, it's being pulled by a ton of international countries because it's been essentially rendered moot by Disney+. The only international countries that still have it are Latin America and Poland.
Ironically, Disney XD still pulls pretty good ratings in the US, which is probably why it hasn't suffered the same fate here.

Oh. That's a surprising development, but a welcome one.
Also, cool that they've been republishing the entire W.I.T.C.H. series.
