I'm rewatching the Tien "recruitment" episode, and it occurs to me that
- you've got a fiery, dark-haired woman seeking martial artist comes back for revenge against him for not caring much about her
- has the same dislike of Roshi that Chi-Chi does
In my head I'm gonna pretend Yurin is basically what Chi-Chi was as a young adult between Dragonball and Z, or a depiction of Chi-Chi if she'd never married Goku.
(2) Nah I get that. Its just that Goku already has experience fighting opponents who regenerate, so you'd think he'd have been more successful/aggressive holding Zamasu back. Sure he was fighting Black simultaneously, but Trunks joined in on that fight and probably could have held Zamasu back at least, and I thought Trunks was a SSJ 2 by that point and still in Goku's ballpark.
Goku should have been able to finger flick Zamasu unconscious.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Immoral man who regenerates from all wounds. He ain’t gonna be easy to put down. Plus the anime implies that Zamasu got a bit stronger in the decades.
Also note that unlike Piccolo or Cell, Zamasu apparently doesn't get weaker when he regenerates.
And unlike Buu, there's no limit on it as well. Buu was crazy enough with his ability to reform from even smoke. You had to completely atomize him. Zamasu could apparently come back even from that.
One Strip! One Strip! In the anime Goku mentioned that Future Zamasu is stronger than the one he faced and even if he was the same power wise, he still can't do anything to him due to immortality, immortality is pretty much limitless stamina and regeneration without any limits.
Heck Future Zamasu's immortality is so good that when Goku Black glitched it and Trunks killed Merged Zamasu's body his soul stil stuck around.

Did they consider putting him in a box
Or, hey, this worked before. Putting him in a sword.

Forever liveblogging the Avengerssealing is pretty unpopular in the D Bverse, mostly a backstory thing really.
Secret SignatureThey forgot the seal. The issue of trusting the fate of the universe to a buncha morons.
Wake me up at your own risk.Sealing was the best way to deal with Zamasu, but they deliberately pushed that option out of the way (via Goku fucking up and forgetting the seals) so that we could get Zen-O nuking everything.
That was the ending they had planned, and everything else was just build-up towards it
One Strip! One Strip! Why do the writers hate Future Trunks
The thing is....I don't think they do.
I think Toriyama just wanted to show what happens when Zen-O destroys a universe, and just decided to use Future Trunks' world as the example.
Like, he's been more than willing to screw over characters long term to get the story he wants. Trunks just gets it much worse, because not having the Dragonballs as a safety net is part of his background story.
One Strip! One Strip!i think a sad reality is that Dragon Ball just doesn't care about it's characters. it will gladly character assassinate and make characters miserable and not think about it as long as it moves the plot forward
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeDragonball used to be a comedy.
Everybody is on the table when it comes to making a joke.
And we've talked previously about how Toriyama is still a Gag Manga writer at heart too.
While I've made my statements about it, I don't think it's that bad. I don't think it comes from any maliciousness.
One Strip! One Strip! How you feel about the characters is exactly why he won't simply get rid of them.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Yeah correct, just look how every non Vegeta character died in the Buu arc, the non saiyans moreso, they were killed off screen with less dignity than Satan's dog fake death.
Dabura even channels Toriyama and spits on Piccolo and Krillin after calling them trash.
Meanwhile Vegeta the cry baby who sided with the main villains twice in a row, got to go out on his own terms.

Meanwhile, Boo Arc, if Vegeta got properly motivated.

I wonder what would have happened if the Royal Army ever developed beam weapons similar to the Maser tanks from The Godzilla series, like in this clip fromn Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla 2 (Its the tanks that have what look like giant sattleite dishes that shoot blue lightning like Lasers):
Would the Royal army have had its ass kicked a lot less, or at least, would have been able to hold off some of the villains for a little longer?
Because thats the one thing I'm surprised was never developed after seeing how many beams of energy various Dragon Ball baddies used as a way to counter them.
Of course, they could end up just as ineffective against the dragon ball baddies as they are against the big G here (though I could see at least someone as strong as King Piccolo actually being effected a bit, but anyone from Z would no sell them like they do ballistic weapons just as easily).

Watch Symphogear"Gohan is just not a martial artist. He does not have the love of the challenge like Goku does. "
Is gohan main weakness: he is consistently no a martial artist or a fighter at heart, when he fight he does more like a superhero of defending people but not fighting for is own sake or enjoying fight, meaning that his personality put it at odd of what is dragon ball.
Gohan is the chararter who will wish to be in DC or marvel.
"It's funny how Toriyama was clearly fond of Semi-Perfect Cell's design since he reused it for Cell Max. Probably regrets getting rid of it so fast. "
if I remenber it was a former editor who told him semi perfect look goofy as shit and change it.
I will said I like semi perfect more than perfect one, the green, orange and black blend really
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Gohan might be the closest thing Dragon Ball had to a magical girl character prior to Ribrianne.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).While I have brought up Godzilla before, I'm honestly surprised Toho and Toei have never done a crossover collab between their two biggest franchises.
Seriously, imagine how awesome this would look in Anime form with the two using their signature moves on something like a Freiza and King Ghidorah team up (Mecha freiza was probably inspired by Mecha King Ghidorah from the Heisei Godzilla movies, even).
Hirudegarn from the last Dragon Ball Z movie is the closest to a Dragon Ball vs Godzilla movie, but I want the real deal some day.

Watch SymphogearNah, if anything, Gohan was a Kamen Rider.
The Great Saiyaman is explicitly based on Kamen Rider Ichigo/Original.
Watch SymphogearChapter out
It's a chapter alright
Uni catOh no, more nothing? We're out of the Super Hero arc, right?
Man, this was a lot more fun when the Super anime and manga were running simultaneously.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
Kinda? The bottles didn't need to contain them for long. Just a few seconds, long enough to toss them over the side. So Roshi wouldn't need bother with a seal to keep them permanently trapped.
