I'd love it if someone brought that up at some point and everyone present kicked themselves for not thinking of it.
Of course, that'd mean they wouldn't be able to revive Goku...or would they? They technically still could since his body was preserved by Kami, so the issue of his body coming back in the condition it was when it died would be solved wouldn't it?
One Strip! One Strip! There's no time limit if you're wishing back a single person.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Really?
I guess I still get some of the rules confused due to how they're referenced.
One day we have to list every rule for the balls down in one place.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm very, very glad that was never a thing in the actual series. The limits of the Dragon Balls are to prevent their opportunity for Story-Breaker Power, and even though they're not perfect, I wouldn't want the story pointing that out.
I can ignore it when it's not pushed to the forefront like that.
Getting serious, I imagine if it did come up, Toriyama would have come up with a way for that not to work either.
And it is probably better they don't point it out.
One Strip! One Strip! They try to wish for teh end of the Saiya-jin attack...
Shenron says "nope"...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Worth mentioning that The Plan in the King Piccolo arc was just to have Shenron kill King Piccolo outright, which would have worked, since King Piccolo is weaker than Kami. Unfortunately, Shenron himself is also weaker than Kami, weaker than King Piccolo even, and so King Piccolo was able to kill Shenron after wishing for his youth.

Gavan, Let's get jiggy!I can ignore it when it's not pushed to the forefront like that.
Agreed. Every work has its Necessary Weasels. At the end of the day, the universe as-is exists to service the plot the writer is trying to tell. There comes a point in the "But WHY tho?" where the answer simply is, "Because that's what the creator wrote for his story that he's telling."
The worst thing a creator can do is take the Thinkpieces to heart and start either trying to write his own Thinkpiece within the material itself or, worse, start writing stories to "disprove" the Thinkpieces.
Whether you agree or disagree with the critics, never shine a spotlight on your weasels. It doesn't end well.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.You know, the Dragon Room has been utterly underwhelming. They were first created as a specific branch made to cover Dragon Ball as a franchise and expand its universe, but so far, the only thing they've done is the Yamcha isekai manga. I was really hoping for a ton more spin-offs from them, but we haven't heard a peep.
Unless they're the ones doing the Dragon Ball Heroes anime, but Heroes was around before the Dragon Room formed, so I assumed Heroes had their own team. I want more spin-offs from the Dragon Room, animated or manga, I don't care.
- I want a spin-off about Vegeta, Raditz, Nappa, and those two jobber Saiyans after Planet Vegeta was destroyed, and what happened to those jobber Saiyans (they probably died horribly).
- I want a modern-day spin-off about Broly, Cheelai, and Lemo adventuring throughout the universe. Maybe as a cute romance story between Broly and Cheelai.
- I want a Ginyu Force prequel showing each of their canon backstories and how the team formed. Guldo used his psychic powers to be a little pervert as a kid, Burter had an abusive mom who forced him to do chores as fast as possible, Recoome was a professional ballet dancer, Jeice was a high-school baseball pitcher. I ESPECIALLY want to know Ginyu's life, what his original body looked like, and why Jeice is the only one who knows what he looked like.
- I want The Adventures Of The Kamikaze Fireballs, maidens for justice. I especially want to know why half of the U2 team look like villains, are they reformed villains? That would be interesting to explore in a prequel.
- I want a spin-off about Ganos going on a martial arts quest after being defeated by Roshi.
- I want a spin-off about the U6 Saiyans, Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale.
- I want a spin-off about the Trio of Danger living in the hell of U9, and meeting the other members of their team.
- I want a spin-off about the Pride Troopers, set after the Tournament of Power, with the other Troopers having to teach Jiren how to be friends and work with other people.
Poor Lemo, people tend to forget he exists just for shipping sake.
Uni catHey, Lemo as the cool grampa who's getting too old for this shit is an important part of the trio's dynamic, and I wouldn't get rid of him for the world.
That Dragon Ball writers room is about as successful as that Transformers writers room.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I want at least an update on what the Dragon Room has been doing all this time, or if they even still exist anymore.
On a different topic, I'm looking at Future Trunks' design, and it's a lot less different in Super than I remember it being. His jacket is pretty much the same, it's just buttoned up. His shoes, belt, and scabbard strap are still the same design, they've just been changed from yellow and blue to green. His pants are the same, too, the only major changes are that his hair went from purple to blue and he now has a red scarf.

I'm still baffled why they changed his hair colour.
I mean, if they wanted his and Bulma's colour to finally match, then maybe they should have given her her right hair colour since she's supposed to be purple herself.
Plus, they kept Kid Trunks' purple hair, which makes no sense.
One Strip! One Strip! My current headcanon is that Bulma's genetics make her start with purple hair and it turns blue in her 20s. Though Bulma had blue hair in the anime from the start, that's how I justify her starting with purple hair in the manga. By mid-DB, Bulma has transitioned to blue hair from that point forward. Same goes for Future Trunks, he's 17 in Z and 30 in Super, his hair just went blue in his 20s.
Fighting... still not great. Was amused by Trunk's goofy Soul Calibur though. And Fu's backstory being literally Superman's.

Heroes had two episodes of good fight animation, choreography, and direction: Golden Metal Cooler vs Cumber and Goku vs Hearts. Pretty much every other episode has been below-average to absolutely atrocious. I think the worst example has to be UI Goku vs Super Kamioren, not that it's necessarily worse than every other fight, but more that it completely wasted Ultra Instinct and made it look lame for the first time ever. That form has a good reputation, and that fight tarnished that reputation.
Again a Superman backstory?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I believe Shueisha's Dragon Room has helped with the Yamcha Isekai, the Heroes mangas (which is 2 different series at the moment), the Fusions manga, FighterZ manga and Dragon Ball SD. Heroes and SD have existed before the Dragon Room, but they probably streamline all the work. Like a group of editors helping out all the different mangaka working on each series. That reminds me, doesn't Toei also have their own Dragon Room? I wonder what they've been working on aside from the Heroes anime.

Gavan, Let's get jiggy! There's a Dragon Ball Fighter Z manga?
Edited by HandsomeRob on Feb 23rd 2020 at 7:39:58 AM
One Strip! One Strip!Yes, it runs in Saikyo Jump just like the current Heroes manga. It took the place of the Fusions manga after it ended it's 3-year-run. It's not based on the game's story, it's about a kid competing in DBFZ esports.
Gavan, Let's get jiggy!Oh, of course it is. I wonder if the kid in the Fighterz manga complains about the top-tiers of the game: Android 16, Cell, Bardock, Gotenks, Kid Buu, and GT Goku, in order of dominance in the meta.
Wait, wasn't the Yamcha isekai also a tie-in to Dokkan Battle?
A simple genie like rule to just not allow wishes that kill is all that was needed...
But then how would he explain why Kakarotto just refused to be teleported home?
Nope, that's just necessary.
