Yeah, my interest in DBZ: Kakarot took a nosedive after that trailer. As others have noted, Goku doesn't even do much so having the player exclusively play as him is a flawed concept.

Goku is the protagonists' heavy hitter. He generally f*cks off for most of the plot and just comes in to defeat the bad guy at the end. Except in the Cell arc where he didn't even do that much.

Most of the heavy narrative lifting, the exploration of the plot and fleshing out the details and shit, that's all done by his friends. I'm sure the game is going to tweak the story to make it more Goku-centric but, like, they only have to do that 'cause of the decision to make the game Goku-centric in the first place.

Also, I'm kinda tired of developers acting like the entire Dragon Ball story begins at Raditz. But I digress.

Man, all I want is a follow-up to Tenkaichi 3. A fighting game in the Tenkaichi style with a f*ckton of characters, reaching forward into Super and Broly to fill the roster and with none of that MMO nonsense bogging down the game. But nobody's interested in actually making that.

I did enjoy them saying “we’re trying to focus strictly on the canon events of Goku’s life” while onscreen showing a mission where Eighter sends Goku and Piccolo to fight the Red Ribbon Army before Raditz.

I’m bothered that the gameplay might be the same floaty action we keep seeing in Xenoverse.

Instead of being more up close & personal it might end up to freeform lacking precision like the past games.

Randomness is slightly perturbed by the fact that Kakarrot sticks a fake tail into his backside in order to fish like he used to.

Like...actually what?!

How else are you supposed to fish, if not with a kinky furry buttplug?

I'm all for learning about characters.

Well, not as if there's been much in the way of new developments when it comes to Dragon Ball.

There's a new game trailer. Hell, this conversation is the result of said trailer, it's not even us being bored! We're just talking about recent news, and we decided to take it to a weird place.

Yeah, but it's a trailer of a game the general thread consensus agreed looked really boring and inconsequential.

Hence it going to a weird place, I s'pose.

I didn't focus on that because I think the game is boring.

I focused on it because Karrot pulled out a fake(or real) tail and put it in his backside.

That is a weird way to make a call back.

Oh, Chi-Chi is absolutely into pegging. There's no way she isn't. Especially after what Goku pulls.

What they didn't show us during the Buu Saga was Chi-Chi taking out 7 years of being a widow by railing that ass for hours.

Man, I love this place!

Maybe it's just my Western values but it's frankly amazing to me that Goku f*cking died, Chi-Chi had no reasonable expectation of him ever coming back, and she still went seven years without hooking up with a new dude.

Musing on it, I suddenly really want a story where Chi-Chi remarries after Goku dies. And Piccolo's just super passive-aggressive about it even though he has nothing to do with her marriage to Goku 'cause he's self-conscious about Gohan having a new dad. And they just bicker about it for years. He just hates this new guy for petty reasons, and Chi-Chi's like "YOU'RE NOT EVEN PART OF THE FAMILY GET OUT".

And then Goku comes back to life and is just all, "Oh, cool, welcome to the family! Are you a fighter? Do you like to spar?"
