Clark raised an eyebrow. There were many ways to find a person who'd been missing for some time, it was impossible that all the leads had dried up simultaneously.

"Best guess is Westward, that's the area he was searching around in most. You could ask his girlfriend, but she hasn't been talking much" Ross answered, looking at one of the maps still set up. "We know he probably never went to the old airport, so between superior avenue and there is where I'd look" he went on, pointing at the area he meant on the map.

Clark nodded. "What do we know about threats in the area?" He said. He was new to Cleveland, although he wasn't going to say that out loud. "Anything that rules the roost, free-for-all, or is it just empty?"

"All the more reason to take a look around there though" Ross added, putting one hand to his chin in thought. "So long as we're back here before dark, we shouldn't have too much trouble" he concluded, turning back to the group.

Clark nodded and began consulting the munitions available to him. He'd brought several magazines' worth of .50 BMG rounds for his rifle (few things could survive having their head turned into a fine mist), silver buckshot and wooden stakes in the .45 Long Colt caliber for his Judge (versatile little bugger, never go anywhere without it), and basic ammo in his Glock. He found himself wishing for a bandolier of holy water balloons, but no such luck—too easy to break them during combat. He fingered the small necklace crucifix around his neck, whispering a Lord's Prayer before continuing his work. That little thing has saved his neck (literally) more times than he could count. He looked out a crack in a boarded-up window,, inspecting the surrounding area. It hadn't changed since he'd arrived, so his camouflage was still useful, but it was part of his checklist.

The comment about being back before dark jogged his memory, and he checked to see if they had any flares—he'd forgotten to bring some with him.

As Dean walked up the stairs, the sound of his boots could be heard as he headed towards the meeting place. He was a bit late because he had taken a few minutes outside to sliently pray for living another day, but he didn't mind as he carried his duffel bag. Before he entered the room he put his hand over the cross that he wore and quietly said, "Let me banish these hellish beings from this world and let peace return to this world once again".

As Dean walked into the room, he noticed that some people had already arrived along with a small girl but he took no attention to them as he walked in a straight line towards the table to set his stuff down. "Forgive me for my lateness. I had to ask god for his blessings so that he may protect us in this job that have ask of us.", he slowly said as he opened his bag.

Clark eyed he newcomer and nodded. "A paladin, I take it?" He asked.

Dean turned his head towards the man before returning back to his bag, "Yes, more or less. I do as God wills me to do, much like you and anyone else.", as he spoke he took out his gauntlets which he carefully set aside. "And you? What is the name that your mother has bestowed onto you if you don't mind me asking?"

Blight walked into the closest side room and dropped his stuff on the floor.

"God for blessings!" Blight thought. "A demon baby and a pious-fucking idiot in the same group? What kind of sick joke is this?"

Blight opened up a large bag, filled to the brim with tons of hard, brown pellets. He grabbed a handful, and dropped it in front of the cat.

"I go by Clark, and please drop the pretentious talking. I hope you're willing to work with a child of the underworld." Clark quirked an eyebrow and shot a glance at the seemingly-young girl. He was of the faith as well, but he didn't go about declaring it. And yes, the girl was on his hit list.

"Excuse me? child of the underworld.", Dean said the tone in his voice suddenly changing. "What do you mean by a child of the underworld...", as he spoke he slowly turned around to take a second look at the small girl. His eyes widened as he quickly noticed the wings and tail on the girl and quickly spun around, pulling his sword out from his bag, unsheathing it, and pointing it towards the child. "What is this doing here!? You have cursed us by bringing this demon here. We must destroy this hell spawn at once!", Dean said with such wrath in his voice.

"Then get on with it. I'm here to do a job." Clark said. He sighed in irritation—this man was making too much of a scene. He looked around at the others.

"Who wants to get this mission done before the sun goes down?"

Ross watched the new arrival, quickly identifying him as one of the extremely pious types. He isn't exactly trying to hide it Ross thought, wondering why he didn't notice Alearth until Clark spoke up.

"Nobody's harming the kid 'till she proves untrustworthy" Ross said, bringing up that extreme air of authority as he stepped between the newcomer and Alearth. "For now, she's part of the team. If you're here to join the bounty hunter group too, then you better get used to it" he added, gripping the strap of the shotgun on his back tightly.

"... You got something we can call you, 'paladin'?" Ross asked, hoping to diffuse the tension a bit.

Dean eyed the man before him, thinking of the odds, "I go by Dean.", he slowly said shifting his stance bit pulling his sword back just a bit, "And what do you mean when you say that she is part of the team. It will not help us, but help itself to our flesh."

Dean took another look at the kid, studying it for a moment. He hadn't seen a demon like it so close up without it trying to kill him which was a bit unnerving. He then noticed the collar it wore and then it dawned on him, "So this is a tamed beast is it not? A pet for lack of a better word. What fool would try such a thing and risk his life?"

Jared stood in front of the door, hoping that he would not be alone as soon as he entered the room. With that, he headed through the doorway.

"Because they're curious idiots." Clark said. "Can we get on with this?"

"Hmm...idiots indeed.", Dean said, the left side of his mouth curving up into a small smile. He stood up straight, sheathed his sword, and returned back to unpacking his stuff. "I doubt your decision to bring this thing along, but as long as it is docile I will not hurt it. However I ask that we at least baptise the creature to cleanse it's soul."

"Go for it. The least it can do is burn it." Clark said. "Holy water and all that."

"That'll have to wait; I don't think we've got any priests on hand" Ross said, relaxing his grip on the strap. "We're heading out on patrol soon. Make sure you're all geared up; I'm gonna go get those walkie talkies Joey said he'd save for me" he added, then noticed movement in the corner of his vision and turned to see another newcomer.

The man's attire made Ross blink a few times, especially the top hat. "Uh... You here to be a bounty hunter too?" Ross asked a little uncertainly, heading towards the door.

Dean was disheartened by Clark's comment, seeing that a baptism was out of the question, "If we cannot cleanse this child, then I shall pray every day for god to forgive her a least.", Dean said as he began to put his gauntlets on, clasping the metal hooks on.

Alearth made a pouty gesture and let the cat go. However the newcomers, practically the religious displays made her hiss much like the cat she had just glomped. She struggled to get free and away as possible from both sources. And then one of them waved her sword at her. But what set her in terror was the word of baptism. When she heard that, she begun to flail in a fit of panic.

"NUUU ALEARTH WILL OBEY, ANYTHING BUT THAT, IT HURTS SO MUCH!!!" She said, as she tried to seek refuge anywhere. She found it behind the dismantled separatory pannels. She would, however, remember what the man had said, the one who had been defending her all this time.

While all that was going on, Blight was collecting some bullets, and testing their fit in his pistol. When he found a good size, he went back to his room with 6 of them in his pockets.

Clark rolled his eyes. "Yes, because you have experience with it." He said. "Now get ready to go."

As Dean slipped on his jacket, along with the holster for his pistol, he asked, " So where would we be headed towards this night. I haven't been told of any details due to my lateness, with all due respect". Dean took out a few magazines and looked across the table in search of .45 rounds that would fit.

"Tonight," Clark said, "We are going nowhere. He nodded at the boarded-up windows, motes of dust revealing the streams of light that cascaded through the cracks between slats. "Today, however, we're going to be combing an area for a sap who got himself lost."
