Is anyone else a fan of this series?

The second book came out recently though I only just acquired a copy within the past week myself. I'm enjoying this series so far, with Jem being my favorite as of now.

I read the first and enjoyed it, but I haven't been able to nab the second, yet. My hold is set for about two weeks though, so I'll probably have it by then.

Ah. Who is your favorite character so far?

The guy with the disease.

Pardon, but I can't remember any of the names. It's been about a six monthsish (iirc) since I read the book last, so none of the names have stuck >.>

But seriously, I was nabbed for the steampunk stuff. Here's hoping it focuses more on the clockwork army than the others, next book.

Oh, that's Jem/James Carstairs. He's my favorite too. And yeah, hopefully. I'm not very far into the second book yet, only just started on chapter 5 earlier.

I just started reading the Infernal Devices manga. It's, as the title may suggest, the manga art version of the series. I don't think it quite fits the series because Japanese art isn't a great fit with the steampunk feeling of the books (IMHO) but I still am enjoying it.

Honestly, I enjoyed the Infernal Devices a lot more than I ever enjoyed the Shadowhunter series despite being almost the same series in many respects. I think the different environment and slightly different character beats helped distinguish the stories.

I'm also a much bigger fan of Tessa than Clara because the former just feels more likable and slightly more believable.
