...a Subverted Trope?

After all, Subverted Trope covers cases where the author makes you think a trope will be played straight, but then does something else.

So what's the case where the author makes you think a trope is not going to be present, then reveals it ultimately is?

You're probably looking for Double Subversion: when a trope is expected by the audience, then not played or played in reverse, then switched around and played straight again.

This and many other exotic uses are also covered under Zig-Zagged Trope.
