Reis is great. She's the kind of friend you'll be frustrated to have around sometimes, and can be a real pain when she wants to be, but she'll stick with you throughh all the shit and has a good head on her shoulders.

On to happier topics, does anyone here actually ship Kevin/Ries or is it only like a sibling thing? I personally ship them.

Same tbh. I was initially kinda weirded out by it, but it at least helped a bit that they were only raised together for five years I believe, so they didn't straight up grow up together since childhood. That would've been a bit sketchier for me, but then maybe that's just me.

Yeah I didn't have an issue with it when it happened (like you said, they only grew up together for a relatively short time, plus neither of them ever thought they were related by blood) but I definitely did a double take when it was clear the game was hardcore shipping them.

Prologue manga for CSIV.

Renne is as sassy as ever, Estelle remains Bestelle, Claire deserves a good kick in the head, and Alberich and Mariabell are neck-to-neck in the run for the position of Biggest Cunt in This Franchise, now that former champion Weissmann is busy being dust in the wind.

Considering when Estelle asks this question straight up, I'd say they really are just platonic friends. Heck, they're much closer as brother and sister than Estelle and Joshua were, because they were raised together with a mutual sister and sister figure respectively. Maybe over time those feelings could develop along their travels, but all evidence suggests they're really close as companions/family.

Also I meant Holy Blessing as Reis's broken Craft, revives any ally on the field at unlimited range, gives them half their max health, and tops them off with 50 CP at a 40 CP cost. And considering Kevin's Sacred Arrow gives 40 CP to all allies in range, this pays for itself and then some.

Giving her CP-restoring items like the Gladiator Headband with high Spd means she regains 5 CP every time someone has a turn.

On the subject of Renne though, seeing her lose Pater-Mater in Azure hurt. And that's not even counting the closet scene in Zero...

Seeing Renne lose anything hurts. Renne, the character where you wonder, "how much worse can this poor little girl's life get?" to which the answer is always yes. The breakdown at the end of SC was hard to get through, that's the only life she's ever known.

Which makes all the best that she is shown alive and happy in the CSIV trailers.

Edit: Falcom, recoloring a outfit does not a new outfit makes.

I actually ended up fighting Loewe twice in Third because I didn't bring Renne along the first time and I felt bad that she didn't get to talk to him.

Cold Steel 4's street date was accidentally broken 2 days ago by Falcom's own online store of all places.

Beware spoilers.

I mean, given the typical length of these games, two days probably isn't enough to really get into the major stuff yet.

Incidentally, what will be the policy for handling spoilers?

Regarding Laura, glad to see I'm not the only one who thought that. Even the Girls Want Her, it seems.

Regarding Loewe, I did that too, fought him a couple times to see what he'd say. Renne must have taken the news pretty hard when she heard about it, just didn't feel right not having her along. Schera's dialogue is also pretty rough.
