Just wait to be cautious about this season, but it really is intriguing and hopefully there will be stronger writing. Also I seriously can't help but compare it to Heartcatch on some level, due to the themes of nature.

I started up my own Youtube channel to review Precure and here's my first episode about the Healin' Good season premiere as well as some talk about (Spoilers for the fourth Cure)Cure Earth. Long story short, I enjoyed it for the most part and don't like Rabbirin. The video's a bit long but that's the jist of it.

I have to say, I saw Healin Good over the weekend and I'm genuinely surprised by how good the first episode was. I really hope the rest of the series can keep up this level of quality, but I am going to keep my expectations low so I don't wind up disappointing myself in the end. I do feel like Aoi Yuki was sometimes straining herself at certain points when voicing Madoka. Is it just me, or did her voice get slightly lower over the past decade? I remember her voice being higher pitched in Madoka Magica.

2. Well at least the toys have practical use in-universe. Exposition dump about the Pathogerms was mostly typical, except for their end goal. They want to create a home for themselves, and at the moment it looks like actually hurting people/Earth is a side effect, not what they want. Well if they're going to be redeemed, good to set it up early. Hinata is giving my Kirara vibes. Still not much for Chiyu yet, but her time will come. Bless Nonoka's heart for trying athletics, but she should probably stick to a less demanding club for the moment. Some good drama with Rabbirin not wanting Nodoka involved because getting an unathletic sick middle schooler involved in combat seems like a bad idea. Nodoka had a good convincing speech on why she can be a good Precure anyway. Trying to transform with Nyatoran was great too. She's showing resourcefulness. While the season as a whole hasn't completely grabbed me yet, Nodoka is a great lead who is giving me hopes that this will turn out good.

Another solid episode! This season is off to a pretty decent start. Let's see how the sub-writers fair.

That being said, I'll give props to Aoi Yuuki. Already putting 110% into her performance. Much better actress than what we got for the MC last season. And rightfully so as she is more experienced with these types of shows.

Nodoka is growing on me quite a bit. Props for her resourcefulness. I'm really digging the fairy characters too. Not super annoying (yet), but we'll see. Raibirin is saved from being an annoying fairy who doesn't "understand" by actually having a GOOD motive for not wanting to get Nodoka involved in this. The precures are warriors after all. And pairing up with a sick girl probably isn't the best idea either. I'll give props where it's due because even the writers acknowledged that Nodoka isn't the typical pick for these things. Many of our leads usually have a good heart/are athletic and in shape. Bringing Nodoka in is a recipe for disaster, but I'm glad that this at least shows that Raibirin cares. She's just too hot-headed. lol

Can't wait for Fontaine's episode. By far my favorite design out of the bunch. Let's see how she fairs!

3. With how good Nodoka is at keeping the Precure business a secret I expect everyone to know her identity by episode 10. Chiyu is alright. Perceptive and nice, but nothing too special so far. Do like that she's not a super-rich ojou, and I'm going to laugh if this is the season where blue doesn't become a doctor. I hope Sindoine is rewarded with her loyalty with her king actually being a super-hottie. Monsters being public knowledge will hopefully add some wrinkles, like with Fresh. Good on Chiyu for asking Peguitan to make her a Precure. Fontaine's entrance felt more badass than usual. Just transform and lay the smackdown. Nyatoran is my favorite fairy of the bunch, so I'm looking forward to yellow a lot this time.

4. Well if nothing else at least Hinata will be entertaining. Since Nodoka is relatively together it seems she will be taking the spacey role this season. Nyatoran continues to be the best of the fairies. I forsee a very fun dynamic between these two as Nyatoran tries to seem cool while making sureHinata has her priorities straight, cause that doesn't seem to be a big concern for her. Sparkle had a good tennis match with the monster, and the fight overall was just great. Hope they keep up this energy. Heh, Nodoka and Chiyu have zero confidence in Hinata's secret-keeping abilities. Now that introductions are over Nodoka > Hinata > Chiyu. Time for the plot to move.

So far all the introductions have been solid as are all the henshins. I appreciate Nodoka a lot after getting tired of Hikaru pretty quickly and I'm curious what's to come with whatever the op teased with Diarzuen (is that how his name is spelt)

[up][up] Took the words right out of my mouth! This has been an overall strong start to this series. Let's see if they can keep up the momentum as well! Guess we won't have to worry too much about attack spam this season (yet) as they girls are shown to have a similar set of attacks/shield moves, which I like.

Ranking the intro episodes, I'd say this is one of the stronger ones we've gotten in recent times. Definitely would re-watch them if the season turns out to be solid. My order is Nodoka—>Hinata—>Chiyu. And even then, Chiyu isn't a bad intro, just not as fun as the other two.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the next set of episodes as it seems that we are establishing the team dynamic early enough. I guess we'll be with these cures for quite a while until a potential 4th shows up.

Edit: That was quick lol

I'm kind of surprised at how positive you all are. Personally, I have mixed feeling on episodes two through four. Like I feel as episodes they're good but as character development (episode 2) and debut episodes (episodes 3 and 4) I feel like they were failures. Rabbirin coming around to Nodoka felt too abrupt and I couldn't buy it. Likewise, Chiyu and Hinata felt like they were just there to me so I feel like them becoming Cures lacked any sort of impact. Obviously it's still early days yet but to me these feel super weak as debut episodes compared to previous seasons.

I feel that hopefully this season realizes that there are consequences to certain traits that they girls have. Like Hinata being acknowledged as being too unfocused for her good, and she hopefully overcomes it. Again I really hope the writing is better for this season than Twinkle and we get more great characterization.

With how much focus that's been put on preview being a secret, the lack of convenient amnesia from the general populace and the fact that the girls honestly suck at keeping the secret, I wonder if this means a human non-cure friend will be seriously involved this season. Or at least another "everyone in town helps the heroes" ending like gopri and hugtto

With how bad at secret-keeping everyone except maybe Chiyu is their identities should be public by episode 10. Too bad we'll never get that story.

In a surprising turn of events, on r/anime Hugtto won the juror's choice for 2019's anime of the year.

Given how lackluster Twinkle one, I am not surprised Huggto won.

Question. Can some YMMV tropes for Star Twinkle be added to reflect it's status since it has ended and there is now an opinion regarding how it had promise but lost steam? I honestly would do it but after mishandling some Arc Fatigue stuff on the Kamen Rider Zero One YMMV I don't consider myself the best person for the job of accurately describing the consensus on Star Twinkle.

I mean I like Star Twinkle but I stopped watching in the second half because the community downright hated it and I just didn't want to deal with that in my life. I'll get around to finishing it one day.

Happiness is getting talked about by Azen Zone. I've heard it was the worst season, but I watched it and I enjoyed it a lot more than most people would give me credit for. Then again my only problem with Kira Kira was that the villains in the second half fell flat at their endgame plots and the fight animation needed to be better.

Happiness Charge has a lot of flaws, but it's the season that has stuck with me more than any other, so overall I rate it pretty high. In particular I've come around to Megumi as one of the more interesting pinks in the franchise between how she denies her own happiness, her comparative battle lust, and just how generally she's messed up in subtler ways than Hime's brattiness or Iona being a jerk.

Episode 5: Liked this one a bunch, the dynamic between the girls and their worries was real compelling, and the missing animal added a great wrinkle with a very funny conclusion. Also I keep getting struck by how nice looking the artstyle for this season is.

5. Really strong team-building episode. Are we sure Hinata isn't the pink? She's certainly the idiot of the group. With two terrible secret-keepers, the fairies not being very inconspicuous, and a slightly more aware general public, I don't know how the Cures are going to keep being a secret. Chiyu is still kind of boring on her own, but she's got really strong chemistry with Hinata right now. Enough to make Nodoka feel like the third wheel. Hopefully that doesn't become an issue. I do like how they're naturally setting up Nodoka to be the leader without resorting to the she was first cliche. Good on Chiyu not letting ditziness pass considering the seriousness of the situation. Wouldn't say she did anything wrong, but making Hinata uncomfortable is an issue, so good they that worked it out. Hinata not transforming before tackling Shindoine was both cool and dumb, but Hinata is dumb enough to do that so it's fine. Only bad part was the weak fight, but this early strong streak continues overall.

Despite the QUALITY in a few episodes (particularly this one) and the difference in dynamics, something about this series is making me reminisce about Go Pri in a way both Hugtto and especially star twinkle failed to do.

I especially like how I can actually understand why they all decided to be cures and friends and the strangely more down to earth vibe compared to other seasons.

Also Daruizen finally properly appears again next episode. I'm really excited what they plan to do with him due to what was teased in the open and how tight the writing has been so far
