So how do we all like our favourite Belgian reporter?

Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.

Love him. I grew up reading the Tintin comics,(In the US) and was always angry that my library system didn't quite have all the books.

Got every book ('cept Land of Soviets, Congo, and Alph-art, of course) some time ago. Well, actually the 3-in-1 books, cause like hell I'm paying ten dollars for only 62 pages. $18 for 186 pages is a far better deal, even at a smaller page size. I even have that companion book by Michael Farr (great source, but very biased in places).

I'm very optimistic for the upcoming movie. The trailers look good and I haven't seen any negative previews ('cept for a British one that makes no sense and has some very odd ideas about Tintin canon).

I would like to get the black and white versions of the early books. I really want to see the differences from the current versions. Too bad they seem to be non-existent in English, let alone in America.

This might edge into off-topic territory, but does anyone know the page count and cover price of Tintin magazine at the height of its popularity? I'm trying to compare the value in regards to page count for comic periodicals around the world.

My favorite books are Destination Moon and The Castafiore Emerald, in case you wanted to know.

No clue on your question. I know here in Quebec a Tintin album (in the original french and hardcover) is about 12$

Does anyone know where I can find Benoit Peeter's article "Reading Tintin: The Stolen Jewels"?

Optimism is a duty.
