All-Purpose Warhammer 40000 Fanfiction Thread

Well, Guardians are a militia force right? I'm not sure how they'd react. They'd probably still start to fall back from superior fire, but they might not crumble as fast since they're more general purpose soldiers.

That's what I thought, and Black Guardians are supposedly the best guardians the Eldar can offer.

I wonder if Exarchs are common in all paths of Eldar life, not just the Warrior.

Somewhere in a Craftworld wanders an Exarch of the Swooping Bagel, forever doomed to make delicious nutritious bread without any chance of ever going down another Eldar path, wandering down a twilight existence where he has forgotten what it means to be a part of his race. There is only the bagel.

On another note, has anyone ever come across a WH40K human character with a name that is not in the Western order (given name first, family name second)? Because all the characters that I know whose names have a clear East Asian inspiration are either single names (e.g. Inquisitor Suzaku) or titles ("Jaghatai Khan", from "Genghis Khan"), and I was thinking of giving some of my characters names in their planet's local Low Gothic dialect.

I'd research the Mantis Warriors. Some fluff places them in a Japanese style.

I did, and came out empty-handed.

That sucks. I always liked the Mantis Warriors, just not the GW ones. The Bell of Lost Souls Badab War fandex had the greatest Badab fluff there ever was. The Mantis Warriors were awesome in that.

Most of the Imperium is based off of Western ideologies, with eastern stuff thrown in to seem "exotic".

There is an Inquisitor character in The Chapter's Due named Namina Suzaku.

Naw. She doesn't really do much except dicker around shooting Chaos Space Marines with a plasma pistol.

Oh, and killing her own brother for getting possessed by a daemon.

Harsh. What do you guys think a good name for a Warp Spider exarch is? I suck at making names and there are no Eldar generators.

Just use an elf name generator, it's basically the same thing.

I doubt the good folks who wrote Latin had "bugger" in mind when they made the language.

Fun fact: The word "bugger" originally meant "heretic", by descent via French from Medieval Latin Bulgarus "Bulgarian", which according to the Other Wiki's dictionary was "used in designation of heretics to whom various unnatural practices were ascribed".
