Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

The M-16 thing is excusable since it was an homage to Skurge's iconic stand at Gjallerbru in the comics. He stood his ground at Gjallerbru against an army of Hel's dead armed with nothing but a pair of M-16's.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWhat you did there, I see it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersCap endured as long as he did because Thanos was smitten by his beautiful beard
Someone made a bunch of MCU/Pokemon crossover art and it's pretty dope.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)The Lucario as Captain America one is my favourite.
I really like Tyranitar as Cull Obsidian and Beheeyem as Ebony Maw.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)They actually made Golduck look intimidating as Corvus Glaive.

Disgusted, but not surprisedBewear as Happy Hogan is the most perfect casting ever.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Wasn't there a fan fic where the Avengers had Pokemons?
Actually, there's probably several, most likely horrible.
This reminds me: was Valkyrie's actual name ever confirmed?
The waitingforthet tumblr does Pokémon/Marvel mashups occasionally
But those are one shot pictures and not a fic

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIIRC, it's the same as her comic counterpart
Agents of shield had a pokeball…(okay, not really, but it looked like one and basically worked like one).
Hah, I remember that!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI remember that too. They defeated Nitro by capturing him in a Poke Ball. It was amazing.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Season 4, episode 13 I think...with the fitting title "Boom"
For those who don't watch AOS (for shame!), they were up against an enemy who had the power to blow himself up and then reconstitute himself (think Nitro). So they build a device that would basically suck him in after he blew up, but before he could put himself back together — and it looked like a giant Pokeball.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is coming earlier than planned.
Instead of July 5th, it's July 2nd.
These are, like, the first jokes I can remember seeing in this movie's trailers.
Rhodey appearing to hold a grudge is very amusing.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Rhodey is low key petty sometimes and I appreciate it
But not Loki petty. Loki is high octane petty
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt must be hard to forget the guy who blew you up with a fuel truck.
Makes you wonder you he felt about continuing to work with Vision.
Speaking of Rhodey, I want a scene of him and Carol hitting it off on the basis that they're both Air Force - and then they start, like, military jargoning, and only Cap understands what they're talking about ("I understood that reference!")
Then again, based on what I know about the event (I didn't read it myself) that might remind people uncomfortably of Civil War II.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Reminder that "X has won a fight against Y" does not mean "X would always win every single fight, every possible fight, that could ever occur against Y". A 1:0 W/L record is not the end-all be-all ultimate feat-scaling proof.
This is true for both Captain America beating Spider-Man and Spider-Man beating Bucky.
True, but the fact that Spider-Man was able to casually manhandle Bucky's metal arm does say quite a bit about his physical strength.
