I don't really see the problem, and especially not what's gotten you so worked up about it. In my mind, anything that helps advise people about the dangers of doing what they see in media is an unrestrained goodness.
That said, there is some natter and excessive detail that could be trimmed.

Addition: I took a chainsaw to the overly elaborate details on many of the tropes. You are right that those extra details could be moved to the trope description. This is supposed to be a index.

Most of the information on the page can go to the tropes listed (maybe as useful notes or trivia), since many DNDTR/you fails and whatnot already contain "it doesn't work like that" stuff.
Personally, I also think it's "complain about media tropes" bait, but that's for another discussion.
