I'm doing this thing on tumblr that may interest you: http://luminousalicorn.tumblr.com/post/76449280082/lets-do-something-fun-i-have-a-folder-of
I'm vaguely contemplating starting a forum, but I'm not sure I have the fanbase to populate one. Would you post in an Alicorn forum?
That would be awesome.

I would post!
Also I just reread Glass meeting the dragons and saw elf!Sandy's picture and felt dumb for being confused about Dao. Oops :D
NEW THREAD NEW THREAD I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS LIKE CHRISTMAS
This, exactly.
I didn't announce it because I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up about the *speed*. Kappa's still delicate and we will probably be trundling along very slowly, with gaps between threads and more dry spells.
Update hurray!
Tangentially related: is Jack Slash the Joker alt in the Worm worldsheaf? Reading his interlude the comparisons are ... very comparisony between him and the template, even more than they are for him as just another Joker expy outside of Effulgence canon. On the other hand, he's a moral black hole way way way beyond the level of any of the other pealed Jokers, so that may make things sort of awkward.
There is no plan to fuse Jack Slash with the Joker template. The Wormverse Joker is going to be named "Surprise".
Eh. Keep in mind that we don't know Jack's history. For all we know, his story looks like Bonesaw's.
I do not mind if threads slow down / cease / whatever. I shall remain excited by anything new regardless :)
Do Worm powers override wishes? Gifts do, if I'm remembering right, but I'm not sure how they compare.
Are we likely to meet more Buffyverse characters? Giles and Ethan and Amy and Glory have all turned up in one form or another. I'm guessing the other Slayers aren't around since James got called instead of Kendra, but I suppose still they could be around as potential Slayers. And if Amy's shown up, are the other high school students there too? Willow, Xander, that lot? For that matter, Anya might be somewhere. Man, Anya and Juliet facing off could be hilarious.
It's been a while since I read that section, when did Amy show up and in what context?
In my big list of Bell mental opacities by power, Lorica comes in just below Stella, and above Stormy (whose opacity you haven't seen yet), Cayra (who you haven't seen yet at all), and Rose. Wormverse powers don't categorically overpower all coin-based magic the way ingotry does, but they're a big deal.
We consider Buffyverse characters to be available as a supply of ideas, but aren't deploying them until and unless we have something in particular to do with them. I do not remember incorporating Amy, although it's a common enough name that I could have tossed it off for an NPC and forgotten about it.
ETA: Is Amy the name of that one girl with the bodyswapping cheerleader mom? We don't have any plans for her to be relevant again.

Amy is the one girl with the cheerleader swapping mom, yes. I was not asking about her personal likelihood of reappearing so much as using her as a case study for 'at least one of the standard Sunnydale high school students exists, so maybe the rest of them do too'.
Mh... Worm powers work by dint of some unknown interdimensional interaction. Therefore by not being Magic in a way even more not-magic than the Enderverse they might very well go sideways to wishes. As in the wishes don't understand that that thing the Simurgh does is "messing with people's minds", because they don't understand it as anything different from whispering in your ear. But they should be able to be wished against once the Wisher knows how Capes work.
A strict interpretation of the Simurgh would probably be that a physical defense wish of sufficient intensity would stop her from doing remote brain surgery on you with her scream. Defending against a four word social attack by Contessa might actually be trickier, though various types of anti-scrying wishes might put you in one of her blind spots (and the Simurgh's too).
Of course if the big bads of Worm can cut through tennered defenses anyway these specifics are fairly moot. The real outside context problems for the peal are the various forms of perfect precognition I think, dealing with brute force is much more straightforward.

New thread, yay! Two things:
-Is this a setting I am supposed to recognize?
-The idea of hiding Bell!Notebooking by drawing is very cool! Inspired by Islamic calligraphy?

I second the yay! And also do not recognize the setting. Current guesses:
- Berete is a Hilary - The duke's secretary Teio is a Theo
Also, the personality differences between the other Bells and Aya, having grown up as a slave, are really interesting.
I agree with the guesses . Given that, I wonder if we'll see alts of any of the characters from this thread?
The setting is original. (Of yet-unseen Bells, the following are also from original worlds: Mira, Summer (both are fairytale A Us but that extracts plot, not setting); Promise (see my short story Visitor, so it's not new-for-Effulgence but it is original-to-me); Maurabel; and Cayra.)
The drawing was not inspired by Islamic calligraphy or any other real thing, it was just where my brain went when I thought "okay, so a step beyond having a sister or the International Fleet breathing down your neck, what do you do?"
Aya's personality differences are to me most amusing when compared with the other Bell who has her face, but alas you won't get to meet that one for some time, there's prep work to be done.
I will trust you on the amusement until we meet her :)
Random aside: did Aya not add to the belltower properly? It shows her as a member but I don't see the intro post in the belltower read page. Alternately, I could just be bad at things, as this happens regularly.
I don't know how reading pages work. I wrote Aya's intro post a long time ago and only recently made it publicly readable, which could have thrown a wrench into something? If so, you will have the same problem with Clarity, Lorica, Rapunzel, and Maurabel when they are introduced.
Yeah, the reading pages only show (public) entries *posted* within the last 14 days.
I find writing very rewarding all by itself. (And receiving feedback, but that's not really a case of rewarding *myself*.) It's just a question of when I can produce momentum and a path forward.
