I think one per chapter works, they just have to be short chapters. All a chapter really does is organize them, so organizing by gym works here. That way, we could easily keep each gym separate.

Well, i dunno what order we're gonna do this in [chronologically (i.e. Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge) or practically (town to town from Fuschia)], what way we're telling the story (through a diary entry or usual story-telling script), but in any case, skipping Pokemon Tower(which we could do if you guys wanna) and assuming Rock Tunnel is done as well:
-Route 9 or 10, You know, I can't really tell since some cartographer some other day seems to insist that this corner belongs to one of these 2 routes-
Finally finding my way out of that cave, I was greeted by the harsh sunlight...and a Voltorb, which seemed none too happy to see me. -BOOM!-

When I next came to, I found myself in the Pokemon Center where some Picnicker, who I think was called Heidi, apparently discovered me unconscious. After being discharged, I found that the Gym was just down the path. Upon inspection, the place was actually a Gym and a pool at the same time, and while I wasn't so keen about my swimming skills, it seems better than my old workplace. The only thing I hope is that I'm not required to wear something embarrassing, like what those Swimmers back at on that beach near Fuschia wore.
...and I really dunno what quirk will happen here, so I'll leave that for some other time, maybe Monday or tomorrow if I'm lucky. If anyone likes, we could change it, scrap it, mass-copy it and spread it all over the world for all I care. Anyways, please comment, It'll get this ball rolling faster.
