[up] Let's face it. Most people who lent their voices to Dreamworks films are going to be THOSE kind of actors.

Wow, Farley gives a waaaaaay better performance than Myers.

Myers isn't better, he's.... just a different kind of Shrek. Chris Farley seemed to play him more honest and downplayed in the serious scenes.

To me Dreamworks, in terms of quality, is a mixed bag. At times they make some movies that I really enjoy (Prince of Egypt, Road to El dorado, Shrek 2, Madagascar 3, How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2, and Kung Fu Panda) they make movies I think are okay (Shrek 1, Antz, Madagascar 1 & 2, and Megamind) at times they can make a movie that's everything wrong with Dreamworks and those companies who try to copy them. (Shark Tale, and Shrek the Third)

But with that said, Dreamworks at times is more experimental, and is willing to do different things, when not making their products over marketed. *cough*Shrek*cough* Even now, they are getting sick of oversaturated pop culture references and toilet humor.

Necro'd.

The intro to The Mr. Peabody and Sherman show, which should be on Netflix sometime soon.

I liked quite a few of Dream Work's works. I prefer them to Pixar. Not a Disney or Pixar fan.

Oh its just that (Not trying to push any buttons here) I find their work to be trite and boring, relying on touching people right in "the feels" as apposed to making complex characters and plots. I often find their characters and plots cliché, im not one for "mushy-gushy" and love/romance stories. And then theirs the years of depicting females as little more than trophies to be won.

But this is just my opinion. smile

I disagree with a lot of those things, but I see your point.

That's ok, you have a right to disagree. Its just my opinion. My favorite Dream Works movies are the Madagascar trilogy. smile

It's Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon for me. Megamind is pretty good, though.

Never saw Megamind (not a fan of the super hero genre) Kung Fu Panda was good, haven't seen the sequel yet. :( Didn't care for the Dragon movie (not a fantasy fan).

Shrek one and 2 were ok, 3 was meh and 4 was a joke.

It was very good (though I love fantasy films), but it apparently made them LOSE money because of advertising and such.

But hey, it has Alec Baldwin as a Russian Santa Claus and Hugh Jackman as an Awesome Aussie version of the Easter Bunny (with a boomerang!).

It's a really good film! It just doesn't get the respect it deserved because once Dreamworks reported a loss and laid off like 300 employees, everyone labeled it as a disaster. Also, it's NOT as edgy and dark as the marketing told you before it was released.

Ya, the marketing made it out to be this dark and edgy flick.
