"Also," Colton added, snapping his fingers and allowing his multicolored crystals he won over the Alola Island Trial to float in little bubbles of darkness behind his back. "These are Z-Crystals - little gemstones that allow for Pokemon to unleash monstrous power in a single move. Much like Mega-Evolution, it requires a strong bond between Pokemon and Trainer.

"I'm guessing Ultra Necrozium is like Primarinium in that only this “Necrozma friend” can use it?" Colton asked as the crystals started going back into their designated pocket. "Are they even here?"

A Delphox and Blaziken looked at their sleeping Fennekin child, silently fawning over her. They both turned human as a couple cups of coffee floated over to them, catching them before they could start falling before taking a sip.

Grandpa Reynard: I'm 86 years young, though I'm getting on in years. I'm not too familiar with the science stuff behind it but they allow certain pokémon to perform z moves.

-Kai is quiet, but listening intently.-

Soul Arrow: <...You fight with borrowed power. And you're living on borrowed time.>

-He removes a glove from his paw, which sparks with a sudden overflow of Aura.-

Soul Arrow: <Know the might of one who rightfully owns their abilities!>

-Another arrow forms, and suddenly a ring of similarly shaped spires of Aura rise from the ground.-

Mason: Duck!

-Mason quickly throws an arm over Shaun's shoulder, pulling him down just as the spires and arrow all launch right where their heads would have been — instead colliding with an Obscuric shield.-

Mason: Whatever ridiculous anime thing you're about to do, it better work!

Me: Oh. That makes sense.

-I look to see the man who's holding the little gems in orbs of darkness-

Merlin: Indeed! The Macrauls are an evil collector family, and one of them has Voyd's Z-Crystal.

Voyd: Losing that Z-Crystal is a big reason I lost a lot of my light; I gotta get it back!

-He quickly rises to his feet.-

Shaun: "Spectral Storm Strike!"

-The Obscura arrows launch at Soul Arrow, reminscent of a Sinister Arrow Raid, before Shaun uses a hookshot construct to launch himself at the Lucario and deliver an Obscura-infused punch.-

Kaiiseii: "Hah joke's on you guys I'm like negative thirty something."

-He shrugs.-

Kaiiseii: "So we go in, grab the crystal, get out. Easy as cherry pie. Coincidentally, that was the nickname of an ex of mine. Their probably dead now. Or, well, later."

Naga: "Why do I feel the urge to slap some sense into him?"

"Name's Colton," said Unovan said simply to Ian before he turned to look at Voyd. "Transformation shenanigans," he muttered simply before he shook his head.

"Yeah, we can't just go in blind - we need a plan to steal it from them. If these guys are as protective as their collections as I am of my team, they won't part with it willingly for anything," he considered as Caliburn grabbed the Moon Stone hidden and his sleeve and transformed back into a Kartana, flitting above his trainer's shoulder.

Daydre barges through the doors of the gym, trips a little, rights herself, and then stands there like she didn't just do that.

"... I'm not late, am I?"

A man with curly hair brown pokes his hair who's now off the bus because I say so pokes his head in through the door after her.

Marco: "I got a text about fucking up some Macrauls? Somehow?"

Merlin: -to Colton- Indeed.

-To Reynard- I remember you, yes.

Anyway! Last I heard from my sources the crystal is in the hands of one Cayenne Macraul. We need to find where she's keeping it and stealthily remove it.

Lupo takes advantage of the moment to find a bit of sun on the side of the walkway and flops down, stretching out on the warm pavement.

A Lopunny and Diggersby come in, seeming to have come for the mission.

Diggersby: <Oh, here we are, this seems to be the place they're meeting.>

Lopunny: <Why hello there~ We aren't late, are we?>

Me: I'm thinking that we might need disguises to hide our identities so the Macrauls don't know who we are...

-Soul Arrow was certainly expecting the Sinister Arrow Rain.-

-He was not at all expecting the hookshot.-

-He moves to dodge out of the rain of Obscuric arrows, but the hookshot drags him right back into their path, along with Shaun's punch.-

Mason: ...Oh. Whoa.

Soul Arrow: <Hrk— !>

-Soul Arrow staggers, and tosses Aura spears at Shaun somewhat more recklessly than before. Mason just sorta stares, stumbling out of the path of a few stray spears.-

-Kai blinks at the name.-

Kai: ...Cayenne's my cousin. I've actually been meaning to talk to her about some things for her collection she might find interesting, too, so if we need her occupied and elsewhere, that... might actually work out perfectly.
