For the Wikipedia 1999 page: Is it the left column? The middle column?
IZ EET ZA OPENING TO ZOIDZ?!?!

Isn't that like asking if it starts with A-E, etc.?
Does the anime have more than 20 episodes? Exactly 24 episodes? 25 episodes?

It's bending the rules a little, but no clear violation.
Does the anime have any OV As?
Does it have a movie?
#IceBearForPresidentI think we should ask Grain if Tomu's question should be answered.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. The fact that Wikipedia happens to list series alphabetically does not mean that asking "what position on that page is the name of the anime" is asking the title to be spelled out! I mean, if it was instead sorted by month, it'd be totally legit.
didn't saw it like that, but you're totally right.

It's more like asking "Does the name of the series Rhyme with Plucky Bar?" Sure, it's basically asking about how it's pronounced which is connected to the language, but on the flip side, it's much more specific than just saying "Is there an A in the anime."
That is to say, without the Wikipedia page to reference, it'd be impossible to use that mechanism. Furthermore, it's really only narrowing it down to a specific group of different series.
On the other hand, I can understand the hesitation-it does kind of feel like one of those things where if we set the precedent, it'd spiral into some other unexpected crap, and then everyone uses the same damned tactics over and over again.
Though, TBH, the solution to that is to probably outlaw "Is it on this page?" sort of questions...
Eh, I'd hate it if they outlawed "Is it on this page?" questions because then brute forcing is a lot harder.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. If the legality of page position questions is in dispute, I'll hold off on answering them.
IZ EET ZA OPENING TO ZOIDZ?!?! NO!
Does the anime have more than 20 episodes? Yes.
Exactly 24 episodes? No.
25 episodes? No.
Does the anime have any OVAs? No.
Does it have a movie? No.
It's not Big O? Big O O O O O? Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. Big O? Big O Big O Big O?
I...have no idea how to parse that after the first sentence. And as for that one, remember the "two-form system" bit?
Is it from "Blue Gender"?
#IceBearForPresidentSo, it's not cast in the name of god, and ye not the guilty-ru?
Have we came to team? Big O?
Tomu. Dude. Just ask the questions. And don't phrase them in the negative, we've been over this. Try just "Is the anime X?" or "Is the song Y?" if you want to make a guess.
Is it from "Blue Gender"? No.
But deciphering Tomu's gibberish is half the fun!
Shame.

He's probably changing the rules right now cause his reason was edited out.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.I'm not changing the rules right now. I deleted the explanation so that no one would try to create an argument of semantics.
I needed time to articulate my explanation. See explanation in post 4747.

In other words, I understand where you're coming from, but it just seems like it's the wrong decision-I can't say it's bad policy, because it's not policy, because there's no reasoning behind it (specifically because no one wants to create bad precedent and rules lawyering).
I think a good rule would be "You cannot ask if the series is one of a given set of different series all as part of one question" That being said, the "Is it on the Wikipedia 1999 anime page" question should probably be averted in the first place.

The purpose of rule 5 is to prevent people from using Alt + F to easily sift through pages.

Anime geemu wo shinasai!Grain, the point I'm making is that, in order to avoid people "spinning" the rules, you're deciding that there isn't any rule as to why it's wrong, and as thus, the "rules" are just arbitrary. Which, granted, since everyone's asking you to be the one to make the decisions, it's not like it's your fault, it still doesn't change the fact that it comes off as a what-the-fuzzat response.
Of course it looks like it's copied from a list. I either have them bulleted, or they're all on a single line-that's how the wiki works.
I mean, the real solution is to say "Dude, MS T3k mantra, do whatever is the most fun, you guys are seriously taking this too seriously" and such. But just making an arbitrary call reeks of BS.
That being said, yeah-I actually agree with the ruling itself. However, I think it's important to have a basis behind rulings, rather than just making seemingly random decrees.

I know what they are. You also threw in some pronouns and linking verbs and the like, along with a bunch of question marks.
Now, do you have an actual question to ask for the game?
Is the song a love song?
Anime geemu wo shinasai!
Is the anime shounen? No.
