• Franchise Original Sin: This is the first duel to include extra turns that were not in the manga counterpart and which turn out to be completely inconsequential. It doesn't slow down the plot here, because it provides character for Joey and Tristan, and the manga version has Red-Eyes show up without any foreshadowing at all. Once Battle City happens, however, every duel will be stretched out to absurd levels, just so that each duel can last three or four episodes, which only the longest duels of Duelist Kingdom took.
