YMMV / Horton Hears a Who! (1970)

Go To

  • Funny Moments:
    • The Whos have trouble making sense of Dr. Whoovey's tales of Horton, leading to this exchange between a woman and her two baby sons in her pram:
Woman Who: "Is Horton an elephant?"
    Baby Who 1: (earnestly) "No, ma'am— Horton's a pickle!"
Baby Who 2: (very high voice) "What's a Horton?"
    • During the song the birds sing about Horton being insane, one bird says that Horton needs to be "psycho-wang-walysed" (psychoanalysed). Another bird claims that psychoanalysis is too expensive for an elephant as "they charge by the pound." They also point out that Horton's uncle or father, Nate, was apparently delusional and "even believed he was the father-in-law of Catherine the Great".
  • Nightmare Fuel: The Wickersham Brothers singing their song can be seen as eerie, especially when their song references McCarthy's campaigns.
