YMMV / Futurama S 3 E 2 Parasites Lost

• Designated Villain: The worms fix up Fry's battered body, making him smarter and stronger, as well as allowing him to finally express his affection for Leela, without asking for anything in return or doing anything malicious besides fighting back in self-defence... and this is apparently bad enough the Planet Express crew decide to go into Fry's body and potentially cripple him just to get rid of them. Though knowing the show, this is probably being done intentionally; a later episode depicts them as more benevolent (when not affected by external circumstances) and even allows them to remain with their new host.
• Squick:
  • When Fry eats the sandwich he takes out a tomato slice which is black and crunchy (Bender even mistakes it for a cracker), which he then eats.
  • The Planet Express ship flies into Fry's wax-filled ear canal and through eardrum, leaving a hole (which is immediately fixed by the worms).
  • During the sword fight with the worms Fry cuts off the part of his brain that handles balance. He slices off a big chunk that falls with a bunch of liquid.
