• Funny Moments: In Chapter Five, Maegor learns that Aegon and Visenya are preparing to visit him in Winterfell. He recommends to Governess Sara Manderly that his parents' guest room is kept far from his own.
  Maegor: "My muna and kepa may be ageing in their years but are still pretty... vocal... in the bedchamber. It carries through the thickest of walls."
• Tear Jerker: The death of King Aenys. While not often decisive enough to head off people who refused to accept his legitimacy, his last few moments are in shock and pain at the betrayal of a faith he wanted to please. Especially of his best friend and hand.
