• Epileptic Trees: A common fan theory after the episode was released is that Ivy's father is actually One-Eyed Wally, with the reasons being he had no real reason being in the episode, he & Felicia both know the frog equivalent to Muay Thai, he shares similar colors to the Sundews (his red & orange scarf is the color of Ivy & Felicia's hairs, respectively, his open eye is the same color as Ivy's skin, & both he and Ivy have purple mouths), and Wally hails from Ribbitvale outside the valley while Felicia traveled outside the valley before Ivy's birth. Since nothing from this episode comes back in future episodes, no one will ever know if this theory is true.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Felicia Sundew is given an interesting background of having been a world traveler, traversing the continent in search of exotic tea leaves and china for her tea shoppe before Ivy's birth. This backstory, along with the fact that she met Ivy's father sometime during these travels, is never brought up again, nor is Felicia given more than a couple of lines for the rest of the show.
