Indonesia
- Originally, Indonesia's canonical civil war victor went through multiple changes before Hatta was ultimately chosen.
- The first canon victor in Indonesia was Suharto who came to power after he coup Sukarno. His foreign policies were neutral while opening up relations with the US. His government established the State of Ibuism, a patriarchal family doctrine inspired by Germany. The Jakarta Riots of 1998 still happened. Unlike in OTL however, he managed to suppress them in MTNOTL after ordering General Wiranto to do it. Wiranto was appointed as the head of the Indonesian Armed Forces. Wiranto later coup Suharto and brutally suppressed his opponents. Wiranto's old canon path was later called by one of the Indo Devs as out-of-character.
- Sukarno was considered to manage to stay in power without getting inevitably couped by Suharto. This path wasn't fully considered as his government wouldn't last long till the main MTNO timeline.
- Indonesia's form of government was originally a federal republic as Hatta envisioned in OTL. This was changed because Hatta explicitly wanted to return to the parliamentary constitution in TNO and would simply just give regional area autonomy.
- Throughout Indonesia's development lore. Indonesian presidents went through multiple changes and weren't originally ceremonial.
- Emil Salim was the second president after winning the third presidential election. He introduced neoliberal reforms which ultimately transformed Indonesia's economy into a prospering one. He was later replaced by Soemitro Djojohadikusumo as he was considered too young to run for the presidency.
- Pramoedya Ananta Toer was the third president with him leading the Labour party. His role was to implement the Welfare Expansion Act and cut back Salim's neoliberal reforms which ultimately failed. His policy implementation was later replaced by Subandrio. However, he managed to remain as a ceremonial president until Adam Malik ultimately replaced him as an Indo Dev was doubtful that he would've wanted to take the presidency.
- Soemitro Sastrodihardjo was the fourth president and served as a conservative president. He only managed to stay in office for 3 years after dying from natural causes.
- J.B. Sumarlin was the fifth president after succeeding Sastrodihardjo and served as another liberal president. He was the first Christian president of Indonesia and later assassinated by the DI during the economic crisis. He was later replaced by Sabam Sirait.
- B.J. Habibie was the sixth president as a compromise between the triumvirate and the parliamentary. His presidency was unpopular to the point he didn't bother appointing his successor. He was cut as he wouldn't be able to rise to prominence without Suharto.
- Hamzah Haz was the seventh president and served as an Islamist president. His presidency nearly got impeached after a foundation donated by Hamzah was discovered to be a piggy bank by Islamic Terrorist groups. His role was later taken over by Yusril Izha Mahendra.
- Raden Hartono was the eighth president. He was originally the one who ordered a secret purge against his political opponents while managed to survive an impeachment. Muchdi Purwoprandjono took over his role as Hartono doesn't fit the military lore.
- Akbar Tandjung political party was originally the National Unity Party for the moderate conservative. His political party was later changed into Masyumi as the party managed to survive in MTNOTL.
- During Indonesia's development of the new lore. Indonesia's Prime Minister went through multiple alterations or proposals.
- Nyoto was going to be the 3rd prime minister. In MTNOTL, he moderated himself to become a democratic socialist. He was replaced by Subandrio.
- Marsinah was originally going to be the prime minister serving from 2002 to 2003. She was cut as she would just be an average factory worker in MTNOTL and too young to run for the PM.
- The Democratic Party of Indonesia was originally founded by Hatta after the civil war with the party being a big tent. This was retconned and replaced by PSI as the PDI was just an off-brand of the PSI and didn't fit with the new Indo lore.
China
- The Greater Bay Area Special Administrative Region didn't originally exist in the original MTNO lore as it was integrated into China proper after the Great Asian War. This was retconned to establish the GBASAR with the OTL borders of Guangdong.
Misc
- North Borneo was originally split into Sarawak and Brunei. This however was later changed into the Federation of North Borneo.
