Batman: Broken Promise is a fan-made animated short film made by Stephent Trumble
. In this short, Batman investigates a deadly drug called Scar and gets in the middle of a skirmish between Scarface, the Ventriloquist, and their mysterious partner.

Tropes
- Curse Cut Short: While fighting, Scarface nearly tells Batman to "Die you Motherf-" before Batman gets a chokehold on Arnold.
- Foreshadowing:
- Mythology Gag: Scarface (more accurately Ventriloquist doing his voice) can't pronounce "b" sounds so he replaces them with "g" sounds, just like he did in his original appearance.
- Verbal Tic: Just like in the comics, Arnold can't pronounce "b" sounds while doing Scarface's voice so he replaces them with "g" sounds, making him say "Gatman" instead of "Batman".
