Howdy. I'm gatotsu2501, known some places as gatotsu911 (my ingeniously conceived alter ego). Yup, it's a reference to a comic book that was my Favorite Thing Ever back when I was 14 and started using the Internet on a more-than-casual basis. Now that I am a legal adult I should probably change it to something less aggressively dweeby, but... too much work.
I am currently a student. I have a lifelong love for the art of storytelling and am looking into writing and filmmaking as prospective career paths down the road. Because of my fascination with the nuts and bolts of storytelling craftsmanship and (more importantly) the fact that I am a raging dork, I sometimes come over to TV Tropes in spite of myself and spend hours/days tweaking pages for stuff I like.
My hobbies are film, video games, and them crazy Japanese cartoons. I also have a broader interest in topics like philosophy, aesthetics, psychology, history, natural science, sociology, and political theory which I'm trying to cultivate by getting off the internet and reading more. Limited success so far. We'll see where this goes.
I am always game for geeking out about geeky shit I like (or complaining endlessly about geeky shit I don't like) with a fellow geek (or nerd, or jock, or whatever). If you have strong opinions and a sense of humor, or just like the same stuff I like, don't feel shy about P Ming me.
