Hello, my name is Seth! I'm an as-yet-unpublished writer with too many stories to work on and not enough time. But then again, that describes most tropers.

Current Projects

    Unfinished Literature
- The Sky is Full of Stars (tentative title): A teenage princess discovers that she is the hero of prophesy, destined to defeat the Corpse-King. Except that every other kingdom seems to think that their prince or princess is the hero of legend as well. Teenage drama ensues, amidst the politics of the adult world and the terrors to be found in the dead lands. Also, the appearance of a new star in the sky turns out to be a stranded Space Battleship, and a surveyor is sent down to the planet to search for the rare mineral they need to fuel their ship. It's a teenage supernatural cosmic horror science-fantasy story.

- Players in a Strange Land: A group of costume-wearing teens attending a gaming convention get drawn into a LARP session by a very serious lad in a rather convincing elf costume. Surprise! He's a real elf, and he's just transported them to a very stereotypical fantasy world. The elf had thought he had found a magical realm full of heroes when he arrived at the game convention, but instead he ended up with a group of seven kids. But it quickly becomes clear that, because of MAGIC, all of the teen's costumes have suddenly become real, and they are in-fact the heroes they were dressed up as. Another teen drama/angst story, but with more Rule of Cool and a bit of Magnificent Seven Samurai. If Sky is sword and sorcery, then Players is high fantasy.

- Lighting Lanterns: After 2/3rds of the industrialized world loses all power and technology after a series of terrorist EMP attacks, the world is plunged into chaos and ruin. This begins to turn around when various steampunks from around the former united states start building a new world from the ashes of the old. A steam-driven world. Kinda-sorta, at any rate. The story follows a few groups of people from around the US, from regular folks to mad scientists, as they make the apocalypse more awesome. A much more light-hearted take on the end of the world.

- Prelude To War: Long ago, generation ships crossed the void from Earth to a new world. Now, thousands of years later, the world powers are plunging headlong toward a war waged with flying battleships. The story jumps around between a very large cast of characters, while painting a picture of the political intrigue and, in a sense, explaining the events that eventually culminate in a world-wide war. The entire thing gets even more complicated when the time-loops start happening, especially since very few people remember the previous loops. It's one of those "you wouldn't believe the kind of flow charts I need to draw up just to keep track of everything" kind of stories. Also, there be dragon(s).
