• Incidental Multilingual Wordplay: There's a Japanese expression called "猫舌 (Nekojita)", which means being unable to handle hot food. One of the procrastination gags involves Gumball and Darwin eating a spoonful of hot sauce, and Gumball shatters from the sheer amount of spice. Works especially well in the Japanese dub, since Gumball IS a cat.
