• What Could Have Been: Coeur almost ended the fic with Jaune’s spirit moving on but it didn’t feel right to him, hence the ending where he permanently takes over Amber’s comatose body; the story also ended ambiguously with Cinder escaping with plans to try for the Fall Maiden powers again because he didn’t know enough about Salem to go into lore-heavy plots past the Fall of Beacon.
