• Banned in China: The first series was banned in New South Wales until 2001 thanks to an injunction resulting from Neddy Smith's (failed) appeal against his life sentence.
• Underage Casting: Richard Roxburgh was about 33 during the first series, playing Rogerson from age 37 through 45. Killer Cop had a 54-year-old Roxburgh play Rogerson all the way up to his 2014 arrest, at age 73.
