• Approval of God: Astartes became so popular that Games Workshop actually asked the Creator, Syama, to come aboard the animation team, not only to make official Warhammer animation content, but also to make Astartes official as well. That's right; Astartes is now canon! The animation is now exclusively on the Warhammer Community website.
• Ascended Fanfic: Games Workshop confirmed that, following their hiring of series creator Syama, they will be canonizing Astartes and the Retributors.
• Ascended Fanon: The Retributors, the Space Marine Chapter featured in the shorts was fully canonized by Games Workshop. This is the first time a fanmade chapter has become an official canon chapter.
• Promoted Fanboy: Syama was hired by Games Workshop to help produce additional Warhammer animated content, as recognition for his skill with Astartes.
