Tear Jerker / Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

• Gustafson stealing the book of inventions is frustrating, but watching as Jeronicus runs out and yells for his apprentice to come back while on the verge of tears really hurts.
• To make matters worse, Jeronicus fully intended to gift Gustafson the key to making his twirly whirly work perfectly; if he had only waited until Christmas, he'd have everything he dreamed of honestly.
• Jeronicus hits the Despair Event Horizon when his wife passes away so deeply that even his daughter, who tries her very best to pull him out of his depression, can't mend his heart. Eventually the inventor decides that she would be better off without him. Jessica eventually complies, believing there to be no other way forward.
• "Over and Over" really drives home how broken Jeronicus has become over the years.
