Princess Twilight Sparkle backs away and prepares for a fight, thinking the being before her is the evil Queen Chrysalis. The tiny fairies Lora and Moll, in the form of tiny floating lights, correct her; she is speaking to Mothra. Twilight looks her over; Mothra is in the form of a Changeling Queen, but her chitin is whitish green instead of dark grey, her mane and tail are neat instead of wild, her eyes are kind and beautiful instead of cruel, and her wings are rainbow colored and butterfly-like instead of clear and fly-like. Twilight calms down, but preferring to be safe than sorry, she casts a spell that forces Changelings to drop their disguises, to make sure she isn't just Chrysalis in a more appealing form.
Last night, all four princesses felt a great surge of magical power at the same time. The surge was too much for Princess Cadance and she fainted, so Princess Celestia went to the Crystal Empire to tend to her. In the meantime, Princess Luna is in charge of Canterlot and of raising and lowering the sun and moon each day.
As Luna gains a new appreciation for how Celestia endured ruling the land all by herself for over a thousand years, she hears a crash. She investigates and finds a hole in the ceiling and a crater in the floor. Burning hoof prints lead out of it and there is also a trail of knocked out guards with burns on them. In the main hall, she finds a massive unicorn stallion beating the crap out of the guards. His fur is charcoal grey, his mane is grey-green, and his Cutie Mark is the nuclear symbol (it resembles something like this:☢), though Luna doesn't recognize it. Luna angrily calls him out on invading the castle and attacking her guards and knocks him into a wall with a magic blast. Enraged, he retaliates with an Atomic Breath attack that she barely dodges, which punches a hole in the wall and continues into the sky until he cuts it off. He introduces himself as Godzilla, King of the Monsters and points out the guards all attacked him on sight as soon as he arrived. He didn't start this fight, but he will finish it.
As Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle hide behind the overturned wagon, Destroyah battles the Timberwolf pack. She takes a few bites and scratches but doesn't mind. When she finds slashing and smashing them is pointless as they can pull themselves together, she incinerates some with her Laser Horn and dissolves the rest with her Micro-Oxygen. After feasting on their remains, she turns to the two fillies, intending to consume them as well, but suddenly clutches her stomach in pain and passes out. Just then, Apple Bloom arrives with Applejack and Big Macintosh.
After Twilight is satisfied Mothra is not Queen Chrysalis, Mothra comments that Equestrian magic is different from her own, yet strangely familiar. Mothra explains that she can tell she is in a world quite different from her own and transformed into a native species, and she believes her friends may be here too, somewhere. She asks for some star maps so she can pinpoint her home world. Fortunately, Twilight has plenty of those.
Xenilla shares tea with Fluttershy as he tells an abridged version of the events that led him here, speculating the the other Kaiju hit by the black hole are in this world as well. Applejack bursts in and explains the Cutie Mark Crusaders found a massive, heavily injured mare. The doctor is unavailable and Fluttershy has some skill in nursing so they need her help. Applejack then sees Xenilla and is taken aback by his size, while he realizes this injured mare must be Destroyah.
Godzilla Jr. and Princess Luna have been battling for over half an hour and the palace is in utter disarray. Luna manages to knock him to the outside and into a pond, but he gets up quickly. They are both getting heavily bruised and scratched. Godzilla finds to his annoyance that he's not healing as quickly as normal. Luna demands to know why he invaded her palace and hurt her guards, but he repeats that they attacked him first and he has no idea what is going on. They resume their battle.
