A father and daughter are found brutally murdered in their home after the family's young son is found wandering the streets, covered in blood from several stab wounds. The detectives try to investigate despite their own strong emotions about the case, but the reveal of the murderer (Sasha Alexander) and their motive causes a shock for everyone.
