Chapter 6
- ..."I left my toothbrush and razor on the Lancer and morning breath inside an Aegis helmet is not what I signed up for!” Winters concluded, striking a bit of a pose.
‘Your dedication to hygiene is an inspiration to us all.’
“You’re locked up in here with me.”
‘I have no nose.’
“You win this round Io.”" - A pre-sentient Io explores the realm of snark, and finds it bountiful.
Chapter 14
- ..."It was now Winters turn to act lost.
“Shen?”
“Small fluffy animals that give eggs once a day.” [Veera] explained.
“Fluffy space chickens!” Winters exclaimed.
‘Oh dear, the hunger is getting to him.’ Io opined from inside his helmet." - Winter's sometimes gets very enthusiastic about learning.
Chapter 15
- ..."I am inclined to view your scrawny girl in the same way.’
“There a reason you don’t use her name?”
‘She’s infringing on my man.’ Io stated simply, causing Winters to smack his head against the pod with a resounding clang." - Io has trouble coming to grips that she's not the only woman that Winters interacts with.
Chapter 23
- ““So… you’re saying I’m like one big forearm?” He concluded. Veera was stunned into silence for a brief moment before she doubled over in laughter." - Winters and Veera discuss the realities of physical attraction when both parties are nearly entirely covered in fur, with the specific exception of the forearms of Cauthan males.
