** As a sign of how committed they are to this, during the Egghead arc, [[spoiler:some of the Elders find themselves faced with a SadisticChoice due to Vegapunk's DeadMansSwitch and international broadcast revealing the "truth of the World". Saturn and Nusjuro attack two separate groups of the Straw Hats, aiming to kill both Nico Robin (who can translate the Poneglyphs) and Jewellery Bonney (who outranks them in the [[KillerRobot Pacifista's]] command hierarchy, but after failing to swiftly kill their target and facing resistance that threatens to drag out the conflict whilst the broadcast is underway, they ultimately and ''very'' reluctantly call off the attack in favour of securing the Mother Flame and finding the broadcast's source with immense force. Despite having the chance to kill two major thorns in their side, they ultimately choose to prioritise keeping the world in ignorance as per Imu's design]].

* BlackSwordsAreBetter: The blade of his katana is pitch black, implied that he's among the top class swordsmen in One Piece's world.

Imu's decision to erase the Lulusia Kingdom because "it's close" is done with practically no hesitation on their part, and the Elders seem to regard themselves as mere tools who exist to enforce Imu's will without forcing them to expend any effort themselves. This attitude is also passed down to any subordinates of theirs, as they regard any questioning of their actions to be going against Imu's will, an unforgivable sin meriting extreme punishment should the line be crossed]].
