His portals could open anywhere they wished, and Meridion's lingering power over the ley lines of Malifaux seemed to draw them, pulling armies of savage sea monster to Earth, and into conflict with the people of Earth.

The Court of Two was born centuries ago, when a lone doppelganger was inadvertently pulled through a tiny natural portal from Malifaux to Earth. Fascinated with this new world and intrigued by Earth’s politics, this lone doppelganger slowly built himself an empire. Now, as chaos engulfs the world and the forces of his homeland pour through the Burning Man’s breaches, the Court seeks to grow its power even further, offering aid to the invaders so they can twist their efforts to grow in wealth and power even further.
