The Explorer’s Society began as a whim of its founder, looking for a way to restore his long-lost sense of adventure. However, as the fledgling organization started to attract like-minded and equally bored aristocrats and other wealthy members, their mission statement rapidly expanded. Now they act as the largest and most prestigious source of independently funded exploration and research into the wilds of Malifaux, sponsoring scientists, big game hunters, and tourists to venture boldly into the wilderness for sport and profit.

Thankfully, the Explorer’s Society was more than happy to continue funding their impressive research into interdimensional portals.

Frontier

The Explorer’s Society has always been eager to push boundaries and explore deep into the wilds of Malifaux. While they don’t have quite as much manpower as the Guild itself, they know how to get a word in the right ears to give them plenty of access and control over the best frontiersmen in Malifaux.

Seeker

Folklore is often far more real than most people would like to admit. Ancient legends and stranger things walk the world, enduring in the darkest places and in the words of ancient chronicles. Yet all stories must come to an end. Even if the actors must fight tooth and nail to reach an ending for themselves.
