TSB Chapter 6: Never Bring A Knife To A Machine Gun Fight

Written By: Thomas
POV: Ginny

Ginny addresses the readers, reminding us that she recently became "a Prayer Warrrrrrrrior" (Eight Rs- I hope I got that correct). She refuses to provide a recap, and insists that we read the previous chapters again if we feel the need, but decides to explain why- she wants something after her death to prove that she didn't waste her life, she believes atheists stupid for believing that life was an accident, and she thinks that the Bible effectively answers all her questions.

Ebony then gets a bit closer to the subject at hand by saying that Draco has given her a test, but then goes off on a tangent by saying that she loves him, not in a romantic way (since he's married to Ebony), but Like Brother and Sister, and more than her actual brother, "Rob." As might be expected, Thomas gets off a "Fuck you, Noah" in the process, and it's not hard to see why. Since Ginny now hates Ron and Percy killed Tyson, I have to wonder if there are any healthy sibling relationships in this series.

Ginny's mission involves chatting up some Satanists in the London underground, one of whom happens to be Harry himself. Harry then goes off on a Cluster F-Bomb, even though his words merely indicate mild surprise at seeing Ginny again after her death at Michael's hands. The narration reminds us that only Satanists swear, even though the author just did himself.

Ginny lies and says that the traitor killed Michael, although her inner feeling seem to imply that it's meant to be true. Harry notes that he's pleased to hear that, and that the traitor is important, but he's disappointed to note that Dumbledore doesn't trust him enough to tell him his identity. Finally, we're actually seeing something remotely in character for Harry, and I actually wonder if the author intentionally referenced Harry's frustration over being Locked Out of the Loop in Order of the Phoenix.

In spite of the fact that Harry apparently doesn't know the most important information Ginny continues and hopes to get information out of Harry. As Harry pours a glass of wine, Hermione gets out a knife, but Harry gets out a machine gun. He smugly informs her that he saw through her plan, and gave her "truth syrup", before demanding to know where Draco and Michael are.

Next Installment: Ebony gets a letter from Michael.
