BWTW Chapter 12: Ginny Goes Out With A Bang

Written By: Thomas
POV: Michael
Deaths: Ginny (1)

The author insists that he knows Latin and didn't rely on a translator, since he's a Catholic and knows what he's talking about (as far as I know, Vatican II did away with Latin Mass, and with it, the need for most Catholics to know Latin), and also insists that he didn't copy anyone else's idea. He warns everyone that his brother is spreading dangerous ideas, says that he's in Kansas City and asks for information on where to find Noah so that he can deal with him himself.

During the concert, Michael is once again looking for information, forgetting that his lead did not pan out before, and believing that he might be able to find a key in the library. Harry comes in and warns him not to get involved with Ginny, since she belongs to him (this is forgetting that he is seeing her brother on the side), and he threatens to tell Dumbledore about him if he doesn't listen, before departing with an Evil Laugh.

Michael, apparently unconcerned by the threat or the possibility that Harry's on to him, keeps researching, until he hears an explosion. Rushing into the bathroom, he finds Ginny's remains, and points out specific pieces of her body.

Michael is annoyed, believing that someone realized that someone(Harry is the most likely suspect) realized his plan to use Ginny to get into Dumbledore's office, and killed her to prevent him from using her. Angered at losing his only link to Dumbledore, Michael swears revenge on him and the rest of Hogwarts, but hates Ginny enough to not even bother cleaning up her body in hopes that she will never be buried. Again, it seems rather petty and disrespectful for the Prayer Warriors to treat the dead this way, even if the fallen were their enemies in life.

Draco and Ebony get back from the concert and learn about Ginny's demise. Draco is unusually happy to hear about his old girlfriend dying, since he "hated that Satanic whore." I suspect their breakup must have been quite acrimonious.

Back to square one, they start making new plans to get into Dumbledore's office, but stop after a while and read the Bible, including First Letter to the Corinthians Chapter 13 and David's battle with Goliath.

The author then has an Author's note in Latin that, from IHeartThomasBrown's translation, seemingly says that atheists can't get into the Kingdom of Heaven unless they repent, especially not the author's brother, and people are saved by faith alone, which doesn't sound like a Catholic belief, given Martin Luther's opposing the church's sale of indulgences in favor of the idea of salvation by faith alone.

Next Installment: The Prayer Warriors realize that they have need a Plan B, but not all of them like Michael's plan.
