Friendship is Not Updating your Liveblog

So what's up guys. I've been continuing in my noble quest. Well, somewhat noble quest. And I think I'm ready to report on what I've learned about Friendship [[note:is Magic]].

First off, yes. It's been a very long time. That's because I simply forgot that I'd made this of course, like a total moron. But aside from that, I've been pressing on. I'm now complete with series one and I'm just dipping my hooves toes in the pool of Series 2. For the record, the last episode I watched was "Luna Eclipsed". So maybe I should do some kind of roundup on the first series.

First order of business: Do I like the show? This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been paying attention to what RPs I've joined lately, but yes. I am liking the show. In fact, I willingly refer to myself as a "brony" now. And I never thought I'd see the day where that happened. What do I like about the show? The villains.

Honest to god, Discord is perhaps the coolest villain I have seen in anything in ages - just because of the legendary low number of fucks this guy gives. This guy's such a badass, he pours milkshake into a glass, drink the glass, throws the milkshake - still in the same form as it was in the glass - away and the milkshake fucking explodes. This guy gives so little of a shit that even the laws of physics can go fuck themselves.

As for the mane cast - I'm enamored with most of them. I mean, don't get me wrong, Rainbow Dash is flat-out awesome. Similarly, Fluttershy is really cool. But here comes time for my complaints.

  • Rarity's Accent: God, someone kill it. I hate the accent because I actually really don't like the accent IRL; Mid-Atlantic accents are something Americans made up as a bad imitation of an English accent that apparently makes them sound affluent. Fuck it. Everytime I hear it I want to grate my ears, because putting on a fake accent to sound smart is dumb and uncultured in and of itself.
  • Singing. When Pinkie does it: I don't know why. I just don't like Pinkie's songs.

But all in all, my quibbles are minor. I've let series off for worse, and I'll let off MLP:FiM for those little niggles. If it means I get to listen to more of the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE I'll bear it.

See ya 'round, everyponybody.
