While on his way out of the Citadel, Fail Shep encounters Khalisah al-Jilani, the reporter he punched back in ME1. Fail Shep decides to give al-Jilini a second chance and agrees to an interview. When she opens by accusing him of considering human lives to be less important than those of aliens, Shepard loses his temper and punches her again.

Back on the Normandy, Legion reveals why it was at the Derelict Reaper. In return for the Heretics' servitude, the Reapers gave them plans for a virus that will rewrite the True Geth into becoming Heretics. Legion was trying to see if the Derelict Reaper had any information on the virus. Legion wants Fail Shep to accompany it to the space station the Heretics uses as their headquarters to destroy the virus.

At Heretic Station, Legion realizes that the virus is already complete and can be used to rewrite the Heretics into True Geth. But Fail Shep still doesn't trust the geth, so when he reaches the station's main controls, he has Legion blow the place to hell.

Since there aren't any ways to screw up Garrus or Jacob's loyalty missions, I'm going to skip those and tomorrow I'll do the Suicide Mission.

Uh-oh.

I thought my Shepard made the right choice blowing up the heretics. I was certain using a Reaper virus, even a modified one, to try and change their way of thinking would come back to bite me.

But here Fail Shep does the same, so I guess ME 3's plot has other ideas. Oh well.

The fate of the Heretics doesn't effect that much. It's another decision combined with this one that will really bite Fail Shep in the ass.

spoilers:

I'm guessing you're going to support the geth in the geth/quarian war, with the Destroy option doing more damage, then pick Destroy with the lowest values possible so they end up getting completely wiped out in addition to all the collateral damage.
