Samara reveals that the fugitive she was pursuing on Illium was her daughter, Morinth. Morith is an Ardat-Yakshi, an asari who was born with a rare genetic condition that kills anyone she has sex with. Ardat-Yakshi are addicted to sex, have the ability to mind control people and tend to be sociopaths, so they are dire threats. Morinth is no exception.

When Fail Shep tries to head to Omega, where Morinth is believed to reside, he is interrupted by the advancement of the plot. EDI informs him that the Reaper IFF is online and advises that he take the shuttle to Omega while she makes sure it isn't a trap. For some reason, Fail Shep takes the entire squad along with him.

It turns out that the IFF is a trap. While Fail Shep is away, the Collectors ambush the Normandy. There's a brief segment where you play as Joker. Joker releases the shackles that prevent EDI from taking over the ship and EDI proceeds to vent the Normandy, killing everyone on board except Joker. The good news is that the crew is unharmed. The bad news is that they have been captured by the Collectors. Fail Shep is called back to the Normandy. At this point, I can proceed to the endgame at anytime. But I still have some loyalty missions to fail at.

To make up for the loss of the crew, Fail Shep decides to activate the mysterious talking geth from the Derelict Reaper. The geth reveals that the geth that Fail Shep has been fighting so far were actually "heretics." The "true" geth are isolationists who want nothing to do with the Reapers. The geth takes the name "Legion" and joins the squad.

Back to Samara's loyalty mission. Fail Shep and Samara head to Omega. Aria tells them about a woman who was murdered by an Ardat-Yakshi. From looking through the victim's things and talking to her mother, they learn the name of a club Morinth frequents.

Samara's plan is for Fail Shep to make a big scene at the club to attract Morinth. Then, he will convince Morinth to take him back to her apartment, whereupon Samara will show up and kill her. Fail Shep manages to get Morinth to sit down with him, but she finds him boring and vanishes into the crowd. Samara tells Fail Shep that it will be decades before she can track Morinth down again and that hundreds will die because of his failure.

For the record, I don't have anywhere near enough alignment points to recruit Morinth. You have to have a near-max Paragon or Renegade meter and mine are 1/4 and 1/2 full respectively.

What happened to Maelon?

And you recruited Legion? Or is there something like Wrex where you can maximize the misery?

I forgot to put Maelon down in the text file that I store the death list in. I have since remedied that.

I need Legion for my plan for the Suicide Mission.
