Fail Shep heads to the junkyard planet Korlus to find Warlord Okeer, a krogan scientist who once made a deal with the Collectors. Unfortunately, Okeer is working with the Blue Suns and making an appointment to see him is out of the question.
Throughout this mission, Fail Shep has to put up with Canned Orders over Loudspeaker, courtesy of Jedore, the local Blue Suns leader. After killing a bunch of Suns, Fail Shep interrogates a survivor, who reveals that the Suns are experiencing an outbreak of insane krogan berserkers. The survivor radios for help, increasing the amount of enemies he must fight during this mission. In retaliation for this betrayal, Fail Shep lets the survivor go.
Fail Shep fights through the Suns and the mad krogan and eventually meets Rana Thanoptis, the asari scientist he spared during the mission on Virmire. Since then, Thanoptis has been working for Okeer. Fail Shep lets her go again (though to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to kill her in ME2.)
Okeer reveals that he is working a Uberkrogan that will prove to the galaxy that it is still possible for a krogan to be strong in spite of the genophage. Because he's so concerned with this Uberkrogan, Okeer has been doing a half-assed job with creating an army of lesser krogan for Jedore, hence their insanity.
Jedore decides to kill Okeer to stop the insane krogan and gasses his lab. Okeer moves to protect his Uberkrogan from the gas while Fail Shep kills Jedore. When Fail Shep returns, he finds Okeer dead. Okeer leaves behind a recorded message in which he confesses to not knowing much about the Collectors and asks Fail Shep to take his Uberkrogan with him.
Back on the Normandy, Fail Shep awakens the Uberkrogan, who names himself Grunt and tries to kill Fail Shep. Fail Shep shoots him a few times, impressing Grunt and convincing him to join the crew.
