Recap time: It's Mami's show now! No wait, it's Oriko's show... No it's back to Mami now. And she fights Kirika and gets her ass handed to.
We start with Kirika's flashback to how she hates everything. Meanwhile, tons of people are talking about "that new second year student who is smart and athletic", of which I can only see is Homura.
We cut back to the fight, as Kirika compliments on how Mami is a Worthy Opponent, with Mami replying by saying that this would make a great story to share at a tea party. Oh, I can so imagine it. "And then this one time, I got attacked by this crazy bitch that tried to kill me. It was so fun!" But in reality, Kirika's powers seem to out match and even be the inverse of Mami's, since she is too fast for Mami to get her with her ribbons, and even if she could, her Wolverine Claws can rip through the ribbons. Then Mami calls Kirika a kid. Oh. Fuck. She snaps and attacks Mami. Remind me never to pair her up with Iris.
Mami escapes in a blast and she sits, injured and needing to heal. Mami then figures out from noticing that the Witch's barrier isn't down yet that Kirika's powers is actually to slow people down. So... let me get this straight... Kirika's a love-crazed psychopathic assassin whose ability is to slow down people's perception of time... She's not a genderswapped Takao... She's a genderswapped Rolo! Oh my... And apparently, she has to do some sort of alchemy to pull off the time slowing.
Mami hatches a plan to solve this timeslowing problem. Kirika, in her worrying, flashes back to her flashback where Oriko helps pick up her things. She then wonders that there was something about Oriko that she likes. Then we had this little scene where Oriko bakes? Whatever, she snaps out of it and fights Mami again. They have a little wager that Mami can kill Kirika in one blow. See, even they know that they can end fights in a single blow. Anyways, Kirika attacks, but Mami manages to place a bomb at her back and attack her through that. Huh, I just thought Mami's plan was to "blow up everything and everyone" but she actually put some thought behind it. Mind you, it's still "blow up everything and everyone" but not to an extent that I was thinking of. Mami then places a gun to Kirika's head after she refuses to answer her questions, but Oriko came and saved Kirika. She then tells her that they will be back and Mami apparently cries.
What happens next is probably very heartbreaking. Oriko tries to get a doctor for Kirika's wounds, but Kirika tells her that her wounds can't be healed by a doctor. She then tells Oriko her confession, that she actually wanted some attention and that is her wish. Oh, and look, Kyabay looks like Kyubey. Okay. Her confession was that she wished to be more outgoing, to be more extraverted. And she apologizes for lying to her. Even though the wish just seems to make her less timid. Oriko's response?
To not forgive her for her lies... Though the debt she has to pay to be forgiven is something Kirika is contempt with so it's all good. Oh, and there's a crack in Kirika's Soul Gem. ... Yay? And then we focus on the main characters of Madoka (Madoka, Sayaka, Homura, and Hitomi) and we wrap up the fourth chapter.
