So, last time we almost got our butts handed to us by a big old statue. Let's... let's wash away the taste of that near-humiliation by going to school, shall we?
Onwards to the 1st of June we go, with only a week left until our next full moon. Does this mean creepy ghost-kid is gonna stalk us again? Knowing my luck, probably... Anyway, Mitsuru says hi to us before school, mentioning a restlessness in the air. Considering it's so close to summer, I'm not surprised. Mitsuru tells us to keep alert for the inevitable shadow attack anything suspicious before we head off to school. Seems even Minato's feeling the change in the air, since he has shed his jacket/blazer/whatever, losing 20 fashion points in the process. Poor show, MC. Poor show. Anyway, I'm going to go see what's up with the Student Council, but first I have a few errands I want to run. Got plenty of vendor trash, after all. Besides, I want to switch up Minato's main weapon back to the long sword. Short sword just isn't giving me the damage and reach that I like to have. A bit of shopping later and we're all ready to go! Also, since we visited Officer Kurosawa on a Monday, he gave us a discount. That's it, man, just keep on getting on my good side. When I eventually take over this place you'll be allowed to keep your cushy job.
Back to school and our PI in training! Well, right after checking on the persimmon tree. No fruit yet. What a shame. Ah well, back to our first baby steps on the way to world domination. Since we have Forneus, we'll apparently get on well with Hidetoshi. Yay? Alas, we get nothing in the way of ranking up. Bah and humbug. Ah well, back home we go. The whole gang's gathered around the table on the ground floor, so I'm guessing we're gonna get a bit more plot. Finally... Junpei starts off by recapping what we already know, then... goes on to talk about ghosts? HE KNOWS. HE KNOWS. HE'LL HELP US WITH OUR STALKER-GHOST PROBLEM. PRAISE THE HEAVENS! Yukari doesn't buy it, but she's clearly just attempting to cover up for Casper. Mitsuru's curious as to what the story is about. That makes two of us. Yukari continues to try denying the existence of any such ghost, but now Akihiko's interested as well. Yes, yes... It's all going according to hastily conjured up plan. Seriously, give it a watch. It's great. After the ghost story, the whole gang (other than Yukari the ghost-whisperer), with Akihiko warning us to "keep one eye open" when we go to bed. Subtle, Atlus. Real subtle.
At night (since we can't go to Tartarus tonight for PLOT reasons) we're assaulted "visited" by our resident Poltergeist reject. Look, if you're going to inhabit my room, you should at least help pay the rent! So rude... I take far more pleasure than I should in telling him to "Get out of here". Minato's polite, but he needs his bishounen sleep. The spook has the gall to tell US to have a little courtesy. Hey, dude, you're stalking us and being creepy! Don't be a hypocrite as well! He lets us know that the moon will be full again next week. Yeah yeah, I know. Kill Shadows, get money, blah blah blah. He then leaves, saying he'll come again. Please don't. I'll throw a cross at you next time!
Anyway, we get back to sleep, only to wake up at school with Yukari talking at us. Minato Arisato: sleepwalker extraordinaire. She tells us that she's going to "do her best". At what, we ask? Oh, the ghost story. I see she's kicking up her covering up into high gear. After that "riveting" conversation, we find that even the teachers are obsessed with the ghost story. Gee, I wonder what the next Full Moon will be about... For staying awake, we get some more Academics. Yay. After school we put on out deer-stalker hat and bubble pipe, because it's investigatin' time! Alas, I find nothing important, other than crazy Misturu-stalker lady saying that Mitsuru likes clever guys. Knew that already, but thanks for confirming! Anyway, since we have little else to do, let's see about chatting with that French guy who apparently resides in the Home Economics room. Might be we'll get another social link from it. We enter to fine Bebe (aka Aundrey) complimenting his sewing. Okay, that's a thing. We strike up a conversation with him, much to his delight. Apparently he is learning the art of sewing, and is very keen on us joining us. Answering yes makes him very happy, since he's been pretty lonely after moving to Japan. Poor guy. I feel your pain, French man. The life of a travelling student/shadow slayer is a hard one. For giving him our sympathies, we get the first rank up for the Temperance Arcana.
Anyway, that seems like a good place to stop for now. Join me next time when we beat up some Shadows, continue to gain more and more brainpower for the sake of wooing a lady and probably beat a couple of Emperors! See ya then.
