Two more summons we need to grab. Next stop, Agart. Agart is completely locked down and overrun with monsters. We find a Mysterious Girl in town.
Rydia: !
Mysterious Girl: I'm done with this planet.
Edge: Maybe so, but we're not done with you.
Mysterious Girl: Out of my face.
Wow, this is real cutting edge banter. She starts to summon.
Rydia: What the...!
Out comes Titan.
Rydia: Titan! It's me! Rydia!
Titan: ...
Rydia: Please, you've got to wake up!
Luca: It's no use, Rydia! Titan can't hear you!
Rydia: He can! I know he can!
Luca: Rydia...
Rydia: Titan and I have been together our whole lives! Ever since I was a child!
There's nothing we particularly have to do to Titan, so we just use our strongest attacks. After a while, he uses Gaia's Wrath.
Rydia: Titan! Please!
???: Float!
Rydia: ...What!?
We look behind us to see Porom. If you have not rescued Porom yet, the battle instantly ends and the party falls into the Agart Subterrane.
Rydia: Porom!
Porom collapses.
Luca: You can't do this! You're still too weak.
Rydia: Sorry, Porom.
Edge: Here he comes!
So we gain Float, and the fight continues. Titan is now a bit stronger, now using Crush, an instant kill. We keep on the offensive. Eventually...
Titan: Rydia... Rydi... a...!!!
There's no special condition to get Titan, beating him is enough.
Rydia: Porom!
Luca: Back to the Falcon! Now!
We return to the Falcon.
Rydia: We couldn't have done it without you, Porom.
Edge: What a reckless girl...
We head back into Agart. No shops, but the observatory is now open, and there's a Small Tail inside.
Now let's head for Mist.
Luca: The mist...
The mist fades.
Rydia: Mother!
People come outside.
Rydia: You're all still here...
Village Chief: Looks like you've freed all the Eidolons.
Rydia: I have, sir! But how come only my mother's Dragon wasn't captured, out of all the Eidolons?
Village Chief: That would be the work of these children.
Boy: Heh heh.
Rydia: What?
Village Chief: We villagers cannot communicate with the Eidolons like you.
Man: But the power's there all the same... and these children hold it within their bodies.
Woman: We only have a small fraction of your power, but we still pooled what we had to protect the village.
Rydia: So this was all your doing!
Boy: We had a big discussion about it...
Girl: And we decided we had to save your mom's Dragon, at the very least. He protected our village, after all.
Rydia: I... I think I understand now. Thank you... Thank you, everybody!
Rydia...
Rydia: Mother!
Just as I am always with the people of Mist, so shall I always be with you...
Rydia learns Dragon. Finally.
Edge: Ready to go, Rydia?
Rydia: Absolutely! Now, off to Cecil's castle!
One more thing to do. While I think I missed mentioning some, we now have 21 Small Tails. We head to the Cave of Eblan to trade them in with the Tail Collector.
While in the Cave, a fight with a Summoner that summoned a Goblin gets us the Goblin summon. It's really weak, but for 1 MP. what do you expect?
For 14 Small Tails, we get the Rainbow Tail, and for the remaining 7, we can get any Tail from the previous chapters. I choose the Red Tail, the Tail from Yang's Tale. These will be very nice later on.
Well, that's all for now. Next time, we will finally confront Cecil. Or I could finally check what new Bands this party can learn, either works.
