Edward's Challenge Dungeon

Well guys, it's time for another Challenge Dungeon, and unlike the last couple, this is not an annoying one. Although it is a bit long. Before we start this dungeon, we want someone to equip the Gil Band that Edward started the tale with. It's pretty crappy compared to the Rune Armlets he and Harley currently have on, but increases the amount of Gil dropped from battles.

Challengingway is in Kaipo. The rules are pretty simple. Earn tons of money, get prizes.

First of all, the chests contain random prizes. Some can be sold for quite a lot. There will also be a Gil Bird somewhere in the dungeon, who changes location for each moon phase, and drops about 1500 Gil and a Gil Bird Egg. There's also an elevator that costs 1000 Gil to use. Walk when possible. When I've noted an enemy, that means they drop a lot of Gil, but I'm not sure how much.

Let's start from the bottom. Here, you can find a Bandit, a man you can loan 10000 Gil to, who will return anywhere between 20000 Gil and nothing, a Steel Golem, a place well you can sell a Poet's Notebook for 1000 Gil, a place where you can sell Whisperweed Seed for 500 Gil and a place where you can sell a Gil Bird Egg for 10000 Gil.

On B2, there's a lady you can loan 5000 Gil to, who will return anywhere between 5000 and 15000 Gil, a place you can sell a Bard's Lyre for 5000 Gil, a place where you can find an Adamantine Pig for 3000 Gil, and another Bandit. If you're lucky, the pig can be found somewhere else for free.

On B3, there's a bunch of Chocobos, that can either give between 1000 and 8000 Gil or take between 10000 and 15000 Gil and the opportunity to fight a Flamehound for a Bard Lyre. The fight will cost between 300 and 10000 Gil depending on which gate you go through to get to it.

Finally, on B4, which can only be reached by elevator, there's someone who will buy the Adamantine Pig for about 8500 Gil, a Belphegor, and the final chests, that cost 10000, 20000, 30000, 40000 and 50000 Gil, the more you pay, the better the reward.

At the end of my first run, I got 76680 Gil. Spending that on the 50000 and 20000 Gil chests got me the Officer's Hat and a Light Curtain. Aside from the main three, the Elixir and that Officer's Hat, the big rewards are an Ice Whip, a Muse Harp, a Professor's Robe, an Exorcist Gown and a Level Band.

Well, that's all for now. Once we have all those prizes and gotten everyone to level 40, we'll move onto the next tale. See you then.

Don't be surprised if there's no update this weekend, I'm still trying to clear this dungeon. It doesn't help that this is the first chance I've had to play this week, and the 50k Gil chest doesn't guarantee a good item.

I guess you might see an update tomorrow, dungeon's been cleared.

        Edward: Lv 40 HP:1637 MP:170 Strength:32 Speed:27 Stamina:19 Intellect:36 Spirit:41 Attack:53 (6x99% Accuracy) Defence:31 (3x32% Evasion) Magic Defence:20 (2x29% Evasion)

        Harley: Lv 40 HP:1671 MP:164 Strength:33 Speed:25 Stamina:23 Intellect:47 Spirit:40 Attack:56 (6x75% Accuracy) Defence:32 (3x30% Evasion) Magic Defence:18 (2x28% Evasion)

See how the two are near equal? Yeah, not a good thing for Harley, as that's not what she needs to be good.
