In which a wild zombie appears

And finally I can pick a starter now.

How do I do that, considering the lab is destroyed? (How did it get completely leveled, it's only a zombie apocalypse? Do zombies eat buildings? Are those zombies construction workers?) Well, those balls are just lying around. Why can't I just pick all three? Because that would be stealing.

Fun fact #5: Cutlerine can't write cop-outs.

I do not get a Fire-type, which is a massive letdown considering how effective Flamethrower is know to be against zombie flesh, however, I do get a choice between Koffing, Paras and Baltoy.

Well, ain't that much of a choice, is it?

No relation.

And now, for the lack of little children telling me whether or not I should proceed further (especially considering they're dead), I can freely go where I please!

Except, well, there is only one way to go really.

Aaaand we already know where this is going. Everyone's favourite pokeprof's been attacked by a hungry zombie!

I am surprised that those Youngster class trainers turned into zombies, really. Personally? I've always been scared of their lower jaws. They seem detached, like that of a ventriloquist puppet or a bad animatronic doll (you know, like in those stock It's a Small World ride parodies, where they aren't just real children or midgets forced to work under minimum wage). I am pretty sure puppets are exempt from the whole zombification thing, since they were never alive, and, much like clowns, it's your souls they hunger for, not flesh or, Arceus forbid, brains.

WHAT? BOILBASAUR?

Somehow, defeating that *shrug*

Boilbasaur thing causes the zombie to crumble into dust. Afterwards, I find out that this zombie've appeared because of - **SURPRISE, I TOLD YOU SO** - zombie apocalypse! Caused by a zombie plague.

Oldale is turned into a refuge, there's a barricade on the road to Littleroot (which means I have one less mon for my Nuzlocke) It doesn't seem that Brandon is around, so, as such, I have to meet prof. Birch himself on the Route 103.

I grind up to level 8, expecting a fight. Which does not occur. What occurs, however, is quite a lonk talk (Did I mention my character can talk? Because she can.)

Birch have made a fantastic discovery. Never before have a Pokemon been known to breed in the wild, you see. Before he discovered an egg. Never before. An animal. Has bred.

Or died.

What.

WHERE DOES THEIR MEAT COME FROM?

Anyways, three years ago my brother (Did I mention my character has a brother? Because she does.) managed to beat the Pokemon league. He and May set off three weeks ago to "look for the source the zombie plague" (that's what kids are calling it those days)

Birch's plot however is lolzworthy, which the game acknowledges - Your brother is a pokemon champion, so he'll beat all the zombies. Go find him, because he disappeared trying to beat the zombies.

I do get to buy pokeballs for know, though I don't get any freebies, neither do I get a Pokedex (actually, giving a kid a pokedex and forcing him to gather info on dangerous monsters while zombie apocalypse's rampant is a stupid idea, which is precisely why I fully expected precisely that to happen)

And as such, I got ready to go towards Petalburg, but not before getting myself a Wingull.

No relation.
