12: Raguna and the Chitterling (Part the Second)

The next day is a rainy one, so Raguna can skip the watering phase of his workout and go straight to dungeon diving again. He didn't get any mail today, but he's sure to make some coin from the strawberries he's grown.

Raguna and Chit travel back down to B2 using the shortcut. They have even more time to go around the dungeon and whack some enemies due to the energy Raguna saved by not watering the lawn.

Even with Chit by his side, Raguna seems to get the lion's share of the offense. By the end of the journey, Raguna's gone up three levels, and Chit only one, though it had to bow out early after being nearly trampled to crippling injury by a buffalo-cow hybrid. This is after they had to wade through handfuls of magic-slinging kobolds, wandering chickens, and bees.

Raguna himself gets stung by one, and has to sustain himself with energy drinks just to make it back to the infirmary to get Lara to give him a cure. Antidote herbs are cheap to make at home...it's just that Raguna forgot his.

With everyone getting some much-needed "inside time" due to rain, Raguna decides to visit the business district and say "hello" to everyone. At the inn, he learns that Uzuki's staying in Trampoli in order to find clues about her missing older brother. They apparently got separated on a train.

Meanwhile, on his daily trip to the bath house, he overhears Selphy complaining that her boobs are too big. Interestingly, Nolan is not here today. Could it be because of the rain? Maybe he, too, has an aversion to big-chested women? Whatever the case, Raguna isn't going to heal easily today.

Though the weather is lousy for logging and anything else that might require actually working on a field, it's still a good day to do some more fishing. To mark this occasion, Raguna whips himself up a straw hat and gets to work, scouting the rivers and beaches around the farm for the best catches. The beach seems like a good place to find fish other than carp and trout, but unless Raguna upgrades his fishing rod soon, he won't see anything other than level 5 fish for quite some time. Looks like an upgrade to the forge is in the works, and hopefully Lute and Kross can help out with that.
